I've played both ME1 and ME2. ME1 played like an RPG shooter, while ME2 played like a shooter with watered down RPG elements. I am very glad that ME3's gameplay looks like ME2's.
Alright to get to the point of this post. I play the infiltrator class only so I was able to experience to full effect the difference of gameplay in ME1 and ME2.
In ME1, the sniper became more stable as the game progressed due in fact to ME1 RPG shooter mech. In ME2, the sniper was already stable at the start of the game. I tend to play shooting games so I favored the ME2 gameplay mech.
The ultimate question IS
Will ME3's gameplay especially in combat aspects lean toward ME1 or ME2?
EX) If I wield a sniper in ME3, will it be as unstable as ME1's sniper? or will it be as stable as ME2's sniper?
Is RPG going to affect ME3 TARGETTING/AIMING gameplay mechs?

No. They're not going back to N7 spec ops military guy being unable to use his own weapon.

Dude stick to topic. I hate ppl that just accuse others to being a troll wen i put alot of thought into this topic. I am actually worried about the gameplay after i saw ME3 weapon customization. The mattock rifle had "accuracy" as one of its attributes which led me to think that ME3 might have RPG shooting like ME1 but i dismissed that because that accuracy stat was based on the rifle not on Shepard himself. And the 2nd poster confirmed my speculation.

it'll be ME2's gameplay (well better) with ME1's depth (well less pointless skill sinks)

Yeah, stop accuseing him of being a troll. Just report his retarded thread for spam as he could have checked all of those things in another thread about it.

Weapn customization is back in the game for ME3. Screenshots of the workbench as well as footage from the Gamespot demo shows it.

No, you dont put any thought into the topic. All you have to do is look at how the various weapons work in ME2, to understand that there is an accuracy rating to each of them. Squeeze of a burst of rounds from the Vindicator, and compare the spread against a burst fired from the Avenger, Collector AR, GPR, or Vindicator.
Simply put, yuo are either trolling, stupid, or just too damn lazy to pay attention to what is right in front of you.
