In ME2 it was really annoying that during gameplay EVEN DURING COMBAT the game just didn´t bother to pause the game and let yoou get shredded, to pieces when your controlelr died Galaxy map gets an honorable mention too i was riding to explore planets looking for N7 missions then my controler died and the normandy went out of the system to waste fuel going nowhere which means wasted credits

Atleast in ME1 they gave time to go and change batteries during combat even during cutscenes which was good as it was now i want that feature in ME3 since they are returning the same normandy exploration PLEASE MAKE THE GAME PAUSE WHEN THE BATERY DIES! thoughts?

Er, the game may not be able to 'read' that. It's a function of the console, not necessarily game coding.

Better bet is just keep an eye on your battery level.

Not even 20 bucks at a wholesale store is all it takes to get nearly a hundred bargain AA's that'll last you a pretty long time. When you see it blinking, hit the xbox button and swap them out. The controller blinks pretty early on, you get a ton of warning. I've never had that problem.

It's a matter of the console, not the game. Wii for example automaticaly pauses the game (every game) to warn you about your controller running low on batteries.

And while Bioware is adding that functionality, maybe they can set it up to autosave the game should mains power suddenly drop out. <_<

The game should also maintain a direct, live and full monitoring on your electricity suplier to predict such power drops.

for some reason my controller ´disconnects´´ even there is a complete silver of battery shown in the dashboard and it isn´t to ´casual it up´ it was annoying and this is just a small request.

I use the 'Play and Charge Kit' so when the power gets low, I just plug it in and carry on playing.

A lot cheaper than buying batteries all the time too.

Actually the console only deals with the message that pops up on 360 and it is up to the developers to choose weather the game pauses or not during this message.

This also means it's a matter of console. I'm not sure but I think that PS3 also pauses the game automaticaly... if it is so - I would of course point out how flawed x360 is here but the last time I dwelled in such nonsenses I was banned.

I do believe that's probably a bug... controller losing connectivity (including losing power) should pause the game. I'll poke some folks to make sure it's known.

And console player wonder why ppl insult them saying they have the attention of span of a 4 year old on crack. And if it "disconnect" then maybe your godanm control is broken idiot.

I love my mouse and keyboard, still holding up after 4 years.

Monitoring the battery is a safe bet and all, but why does every other game have this feature and not ME2?  If I'm playing Gears of War and my battery dies as I'm sawing up a Locust, the game will pause.  If I'm playing ME2 and the battery dies while varren are surrounding me, I have to struggle to find another battery pack before they rip me to shreds.

I´m not sure if its a bug cause it happens EVERYTIME the battery runs out ´but if its really a bug then its ok but i´m sure its the game since it only happens to me in it.

If an XBOX message pops up saying something like "Please Reconnect Controller", then it's something we should be handling.

From what I remember from home, when my controller loses battery power... that message pops up, so I think it's a valid issue.

Hmm... I have not run across that.

And I use rechargeable AA batteries for my wireless controller.
I have four that I alternate in pairs, and so far so good.

Maybe it's a problem with the power supply you use?

It has only happened for me with the official Xbox 360 rechargeable battery packs.  I haven't attempted to recreate the issue with standard AA batteries yet.

Don't own a 360, but my sister does. Was playing ME2 on it when the battery was low (didn't realize it was, because I'm not used to the system). Battery died in the middle of combat, while I was firing my grenade launcher. Shep kept firing her launcher until it ran out of ammo, but before I got the controller back on. Did it again later (don't think I was firing this time) and almost died. It's one of the newer slims. Actually did not know the no pause thing was a bug O_O

Edit: The batteries were not rechargable that I know of.  I ended up going into the other room and getting my sis' husband to gib me new batteries so I could keep playing (I was doing Stolen Memories).
