buy a wired controller and problem solved.

...until it breaks, which happened to mine.  Look, I understand it's an easy enough problem to avoid.  But it doesn't make sense that it's a feature every other game offers, and not ME2.

I do believe that's probably a bug... controller losing connectivity (including losing power) should pause the game. I'll poke some folks to make sure it's known.

Glad to hear it. It was incredibly annoying in ME2, especially if it happened in the middle of a fight or something.

I manually disconnect the bat when I want to force a pause in the cut scene, of a game that doesn't have an active pause for that part. ME doesn't let me have that option.

"You gotta pee? Well, sux to be you. Miss the part or wet yourself."
"Phone rings? Leave a msg."

In that situation just hit the Guide Button and the cutscene pauses

I tend to rely on this, a bunch. I want to use every ounce of POWER the battery has, for example I was playing alice recently and yes, the game did pause when my batteries died.

Could have sworn ME2 did the same, and a recent playthrough had me on the collectors ship, when my controller died. Did not pause. I was being attacked by harbringer. I scrambled for some batteries. I did not die, however, pretty funny. Insanity too.

Yes please! I've died quite a few times because of this.

And if I don't die, then I have wasted a bunch of ammo.

When was the last time your controller ran out on ME2? Just curious as to whether it was broken in a game update.

Hey you're right! I've just had it happen, and it doesn't pause at all any more - either in a fight or just standing around. I swear that it used to, so it must have been broken by an update...

I will just say that this happened to me twice: once on my friend's XBox and another time on my own. In one case (friend's XBox) he was using store bought batteries. When it happened on my system I was using the batteries that came with the controller (brand new system, brand new controller).
