I just don't understand where the misspelling came from.
Playing without subtitles and not speaking perfect english? It can be any reason really, but, we already have this exact same thread. It just seems like one of those little things that can cause big, big, big rage. As such some people may in fact be prone to using it just because of the rather emotional responces it illicits.

The game itself spells it wrong sometimes. In my English version for the 360, every now and again the subtitles say "Kaiden" instead of "Kaidan". It drives me crazy.

Not only that, but we will finally spell out Tali's full name, though it might take about thirty pages.
Are you sure they're ready for that?! I mean the vowels are hard enough for them!

Kaiden \\ as a boy's name is a variant of Kaden (Arabic), and the meaning of Kaiden is "companion".
Kaidan \\ as a boy's name is a variant of Kaden (Arabic), and the meaning of Kaidan is "companion".
This reminds me of a girl who spelled her name DANA but pronounced it Donna and was pissed everytime someone called her Dana.

But like BioWare with the capital-W, all you can do is write it correctly yourself and ignore everybody else.

The same problem with players have no idea how it will be in english is experienced by Zaeed/Zaed/Zaheed/Zaid, Ashley/Ashly/Ashely, Garrus/Gerrus/Garus, Wrex/Rex, Mordin/Modrin, Thane/Tein, Samara/Sammara/Samora. Oh, and localised version has "Грюнт(Grjunt)" because Грунт(Grunt) is a word meaning "ground"

And I spell Orion1836 as F-A-I-L T-R-O-L-L
Normally I'd find posts like "Fail Troll" more alerting than what Orion said.
He is similar to Carth. I wasn't aware this was cause for some kind of spat.

I honestly thought they were voiced by the same person until I looked it up. I actually didn't mind Carth all that much, but I couldn't help think of him every time Kaidan was around. They have the same look, voice, and boy-scout personality.
