Why can't Joker get the same heavy bone weave that Shepard gets to cure his legs?

Cybernetics could be a possible way to improve his mobility though it wouldn't cure him as his bones will still be as easily broken.

Because then he would just be Seth Green

Haha I just realized that if you put the 1st letter of Geth and the 1st letter of Seth together and switch the order, you get SG which are the initials to Seth Green ^_^

Well, he's the pilot. He would really have much of a reason to move around. Unless they make him an LI, which would be cool.

The operation would be a surgeon's own personnal hell, but the OP has a point with the use of Heavy Bone Weave. According to its description reinforcing the bone with a synthetic weave makes the bone almost unbreakable, and also releases medi-gel immediatley to help heal bone trauma.

It could in fact be used to stabalize, if not unbreakable to at least fully usable durability. Joker would be able to dance without fear of shattering his shins.

Why do people try to use logic when it comes to Sci-fi games?
Why's Ashley Williams a theist?

Logic can't answer that.

Not if they're all wrapped in metal. Look at Saren. With all of his implants, pretty much his entire skeleton was cybernetic. Don't tell me that they couldn't do that with Joker to a certain extent.

In 1, he says that he can barely walk with leg braces and crutches. In 2, he is able to walk fairly quickly, and even handle an assault rifle. Maybe he did have some sort of treatment that increases the strength of his leg bones?

In ME1 it was only his legs.

In ME2, his condition was retconned. It's now his entire body.

Huh? No that was already the case in ME1.

I think a potential problem with the heavy bone weave is that there's a basic molecular issue; the actual bone itself is so damn brittle that the weave has the potential to make it worse, since it's constantly in contact with the surface. Even if it's coated, the bone itself probably can't withstand the additional pressure. It's not as simple as applying it to someone like Shepard, who already has healthy/strong bones. The brittleness is the x factor that can't be dealt with, I think.

Ooooooooor something like that.

No, in ME1 he says he has Vrolik syndrome. He makes a joke about his legs, but that doesn't mean the rest of his body isn't affected.

This.  He seems far more mobile in ME2 than ME1, so I think we can assume that Cerberus did give him some kind of treatment.  His condition simply means that whatever augmentation they gave him wouldn't have the same effect as it would on Shepard.

Joker specifically tells that it only affects his lower body.

From what I remember, Joker only talks about his lower body. He also says that Shepard doesn't have to worry about him breaking a bone because he doesn't fly with his legs. Something like that.

Yes but nothing about his upper body being not affected. He even jokes that he fractured his thumb on mute button. Since legs take the most of the brunt they are more prone to break.

Well if they make Joker a romance option then they probably will have something done to his legs/hips to make them stronger so that way Shepard doesn't grind Joker's hips to dust when she as her way with him.  Posted Image

Which explains why he is able to use an assault rifle at the end of ME2 with no consequences.

Exactly. He jokes about it. Pretty sure if he actually fractured his thumb, he wouldn't still be in the pilot's seat, but down in sick bay.
