Why do people try to use logic when it comes to Sci-fi games?
Why's Ashley Williams a theist?

Logic can't answer that.

1. If I understood the the wikipedia article correctly, there is no way Osteogenesis imperfecta (Vrolik Syndrome) could only and selectively affect the legs.

2. Joker doesn't fracture anything while flying the ship because it uses a haptic interface, i.e. you touch holograms at the right spot and the computer recognizes the position of your hand relative to the hologram and thus accepts command. That means he never even touches anything while working the controls.

EDIT: Sorry, should probably have mentioned that that was response to AwesomeEffect2. How Joker can handle an AR in ME2 is a different question though. I guess the rule of cool applies. And I agree that it is very possible that he got some treatment from Cerberus.

From the wiki:

Born in 2155, Joker's upbringing and career have been colored by his health. Joker has a moderate to severe case of Vrolik syndrome, which causes extreme brittleness in the bones; he was born with severe fractures to his legs and even with modern medicine he finds walking nearly impossible, relying on crutches and leg braces.

Vrolik Syndrome (Osteogenesis imperfecta), causes weakness in the bones, causing them to fracture easily.

Edit: Semi-ninja'd.

Or how was he able to lift that metal beam in the ending where Shepard dies?

He turned down the artificial gravity?

Then wouldn't he be floating?

Joker didn't even need to lift the beam. All he had to do was walk over it.

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say with that. It doesn't excuse the flaw.

But it's just a very minor one. It doesn't bother me at all.

According to the in-game description "Heavy bone weave" is a Shepard only upgrade.
That's because the upgrade itself is related to the cybernetics implants Shepard got due to the Lazarus project.

So unless Joker gets some reaper tech inside him, it is unlikely he could benefit from the upgrade.

i can just imagine the reapers sales pitch towards joker to get him on their side now...

“We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better...stronger...faster.”

I’m not trying to be hostile or antagonistic but we can nitpick the flaws in this game till the sun in the sky dies.
How does element zero work?
How do Biotics work without crushing the bones of the user being they change the gravity field around said user?
How do mass effect fields work in relation to relativistic physics?
Is Isaac Newton really the deadliest son of a **** in space?
Why do the Asari look humanoid, when such an example of convergent evolution would be astronomical?
What are the evolutionary benefits a redundant nervous system?
Could EDI be considered a life form?
How does organic paste make a Reaper?
Is Shepherd still considered human, being he/she is now an advanced cyborg?

Just because it wasn’t motioned in the first game doesn’t mean it wasn’t always in Joker’s character notes for the writers. His legs are most likely the bones that he breaks the most. So that might be why he brought them up specificity. Joker sends most of his day on his ass flying the ship. He doesn’t walk on his hands and he doesn’t fly with his feet. As for his leg braces, they could be micro braces that he wears under his clothing. We don’t know.
My point is this a game breaking for you? If not just forget about and enjoy the game. If it is then I don’t know what to tell you other than to find another game you can enjoy.

Garrus shows up in ME2 even if you never recruited him in ME1, and talks about “old times.”
Zaeed aims with his blind eye.
Three-eyed baby T-800 powered by human smoothies.
Letting the Blue Sun merc limp away with the radio.
Vasir using charge during battle but not when trying to escape from Shepard.
Everything about thermal clips.
Joker and Chakwas joining Cerberus.
Sole Survivor’s background clashing with Cerberus. “They did things right” WTF!
The way the suicide mission plot was handled throughout the game.
The debris field of the Normandy crash site being so intact and close together. And Hackett telling you to put a memorial.
Horizon.
No nonhuman prisoners in Purgatory.
Blondies being a rarity in the future.
High heels and exposed skin in combat, vacuum and hazardous environments.
All team on shuttle going out for a nonexistent mission.
Entire Collector plan of fail. “They are going to target Earth”
“Ah yes, Reapers”
Characters with 180° personality change.
Etc, etc, etc.

You’re right about that. We can go on like this forever but why bother? That’s been already done almost everywhere on the forums. Those good times are over and I think we should all move on. We’ve beaten that dead horse more than enough.

And to answer your question -- no, the bad writing and story aren’t a gamebreaking problem for me. It used to be but now I no longer find myself really caring about them. I am enjoying the game, mostly the combat gameplay.

Yes, but instead of merely being tappable, he'd be hittable. Think of the possibilities, man! Posted Image

I'm kidding, by the way, though you probably wouldn't believe me as I've got the whole Joker-centric avatar and signature banner thing goin' on. I'm quite sane, really. Just don't try 'n take my Joker-hat and we're cool. Posted Image
