Well didnt fin eny topic about it, so here we go.

Didint mind they attitude in ME1 and ME2, or the Turian council for the reasons:

1. With possible galactic war of extincion comming upon then, it is not good idea to start war with Batarians.
It would be stupid. I dont like slavers, but starting war with them right now (ME1 or ME2) is not going to help in war with Reapers.
When Reapers are dealt with, we probably going to see new galactic order, probably in ruins mostly, we'll have new priorities and slavers would probably be on list. But it is later. Not now. Pure pragmatism here.

2. The reaper threat and preparations, information given on "need to know bases".
Realaisticly, Shep and hes team are on the front line or in the heart of darkness on daily bases (2,47 times a day by Legions account). So you expect that the council says: "Yes Shep - we are taking your warning very seriocly, and here is the complete list of our preparationsand all "failsafe" actions. Thank you for you warning, and if you are captured or indoctrinated, please do not mention it". It would be idiotic, at least.

3. The Turian council.
Fully expect that he is feeding me bullxxxx all day long. Reason for this is, that from his point of wiev, i am a dead men alaredy. Odds are suicidal. Cant risk even a hint that something actually is done. In worst case cenario, if Shep is captured/ indoctrinated  all the enemy ic going to know is "The  Council and The Turians are not buying it". Thats exactly what he wants the enemy to know.

So far we know taht the turians left their home world, in the beginning of ME3. Is this something that can be done overnight? Or was that something the turian council was doing hes best to hide?
Commoon Bioware, put some depth into it - think submarines..

Of courese, id like to see in ME3 that the council have done something. Some preparations, something.
Because if they have not done enything, the council will be history by the end of ME3. Lacking authoroty for lead.
I would be dissapointed with Bioware also, the story would be just too plane.. lacking depth.

Yes, the best possible outcome when it comes to the Turian Councillor is that he's a DAMN good politician, they believe that you're not 'needing to know' what they know, and he's bluffing while the Turians prep up for invasion. Somehow, reading somewhere that Palaven is evacuated in ME3... it seems telling.
Can't tell for sure yet though.

I think the Turians have known; they got the Thannix Cannon from Sovereign, from my understanding. So, they'd be able to figure out over the years afterward that the Geth didn't have that technology, that it was far older than the Geth. Despite the tendency for many to see the Turians as being only good for antagonizing the player or humanity, I'd say that they're very pragmatic.
In regards to Palaven: let's face it, it takes a long time to evacuate a planet. Also, wasn't Saren and another Turian the ones to find a Reaper artifact in one of those comics? I know some of those on this board don't consider them 'canonical', but they are written by the same people. Anyways, I think the Turians know more about the Reapers than they've let on, just like TIM. But if I had to choose who I wanted on my side, I'd choose the Turians. Even Martin Sheen finds TIM a bit disturbing, from what I hear.
Not to mention, Turians being pragmatic as they are and ruthlessly efficient, their politicians would act like dicks to hide the fact that they know. But I'm guessing that the Turians and the ALliance are actually the ones who know. Anyone ever actually listen to the Galactic News regularly? The Turians and Humans (if you saved the Council) are running war games and being more efficient in working together. This suggests to me that they're planning for something big and not just raiding pirate bases.

Just watch. The Turian Councilor has probably always been on your side in the private meetings with the Council and believed you from the beginning, he's just been an ass to keep up the public illusion that they don't exist. And he's been secretly preparing the Turian military for when the reapers arrive. That would the best thing ever. The galaxy's ultimate douche bag is your greatest ally hahaha!

Actually, the fact that Palaven is eveacuated point to the Councilor believing Shepard the whole time. Do you know how hard it would be to evacuate a planet? There had to be some sort of preperation

Ah, yes. 'Reapers.' The immortal race of sentient starships, allegedly waiting in dark space.

We have dismissed that claim.
