Just curious.
Do you think it will be modeled after someone? Or will they stick to the previous face?

Your thoughts... Thanks ^_^

Yes, Mark Vanderloo. You can see Shepard walking around Amsterdam shopping at D&G en Louis Vuitton with his wife and kids from time to time.

Actually i don't care about femShep. I always use Sheploo. He's modeled after and actually it's the most impressing facemodel.

I would like for her to be modeled after Jennifer Hale, but I doubt it. I think they're just using default Jane's face, and tweaking it a bit. From tweets, it looks like she'll keep her red hair and green eyes as well.

I think David tweeted saying they would use the standard CC to create her and then edit her afterwards for polish.  So she will be better then what the standard CC can create.   I dont think they will use a face model like Vanderloo.

Femshep doesnt have an iconic or a set image unlike the marketed male Shepard.  They still have the flexability to show off another femshep which sounds likely.  After all most the art and videos out there dont often show Default Jane.  Femshep really does have much more scope for the Devs to create something they want.

As she has such a diverse image with all the art out there remodelling the default character wont be too much of a biggy.   She may not be "our" femshep we play with, but I think theres so many femsheps out there that represent Mass Effect its something they can easily play along with.

There already has been a default femshep face for ME1 and ME2. Theyre not going to suddenly change the default for ME3, especially now that femshep will grace the cover of the Collectors Edition.
This was confirmed by one of the devs in a thread where some git was demanding default femshep be black.

No. In fact it's totally uncommon: https://twitter.com/...728061324627968

David Silverman's tweets have suggested they are indeed changing her appearance from the default Jane actually Bogsnot

They may not in the end, but its seems a strong possibility she will change

I imagine most femShep players create their own face since the default doesn't have better textures like Sheploo does, so they could use a new face model for the default without angering people.

I dont use twitter, so I obviously missed out. I was just going by what Chris said in this post.

There are, and I mean this seriously, an substantially large, almost
exponential number of potential character customization options in Mass
Effect. It would be impossible to make a video containing all of them.
As David has mentioned, there will be a video using female Shepard.
I believe it is the default Sheperd as it is easiest to recognize and
that is a caucasian skin tone.

I really like the default Jane Shepard. Two of my femsheps use that face (I just changed one of them to blonde).

I'd be stoked if they used Jane for the trailer. It would be like they were using my Shepard.

The way I see it, whatever femshep they use, chances are Jane will match the femshep of more existing players than any other model. If they go with a completely new face it will be highly unlikely that it will look like anyone's and I'm sure Jane is the more popular of the presets.

Going with Jane has the best chance of pleasing the most people, I reckon.

How does that tweet suggest they're not using default femshep?

It just says that twitter feedback informed what she'd look like. The feedback they asked for was what hair colour she should have and Red hair won by a mile. Since default Jane has red hair that's almost like saying that the feedback pointed them towards using Jane!

They are using the Character Creator (plus a few tweaks) to recreate femshep.

The default FemShep for ME3 will most likely remain Jane herself, though it seems they're using a different model for the upcoming trailer.

Well it doesnt, as my last post said its up to Bioware if they do but it seems odd asking on several tweets what the fans want femshep to look like. Especially since they already have "default" Jane. Sounds to me (and many others) that they are testing the waters to see how fans would react if they did indeed change her.

As you say so far the fans have stated they want green eyed, red haired femshep which is what current default is.  But looking at the direction of those tweets David is giving a strong indication they are considering modifying her design.

For example this tweet:  http://twitter.com/#...976401618092032

Why discuss it if your not considering it?

I'm sure Bioware is looking at the data of "default" Jane players as a benchmark of how much to change.

If a large enough percentage of female Shepard players finished the game using the "default" Jane Shepard appearance, then I doubt they'll do much other than tweak and improve the quality of the default appearance, just to avoid disenfranchising them. People that customize already expect theirs to be different from the "official" version anyway.

However, the smaller the percentage of "default" Jane players, the greater the chance and likelyhood that they'll make a larger departure from the "default" and introduce greater changes. I'm actually curious as to how many people actually used the "default" Jane at all, because I suspect it isn't many. I could be wrong.

Just throwing that out there as something I'm sure they're looking at, in addition to twitter and these boards.

True, I mean all you have to do is check the three major places where your most likely to see femshep related content:

Her Fan Thread on the Forums
Her Deviant Art Group
Her website

Theres so much variety out there, its possibly harder to find a Default Jane pic amongst all the User created femsheps that are dominating the galleries.

Additionally the media itself doesnt even use her Default image
Check this post: http://social.biowar...6606/17#7672320

Out of 14 media links only two of them use Jane Shep in an image. In fact three of them have used AkdoRyu's Marge Shepard instead.

So whats my point? Bioware isn't totally tied down to use Default Jane. Yes she may be more independent and at least have some recognition among the fans, but I think the whole allure of femshep is there she is diverse.  Its what drives alot of the community to create so much art.  She doesnt have a totally set image and Bioware still has some flexibility if they choose to alter her if they want to.

Red Hair Green eyes can equate to any look still

I seriously wish.  Mark Meer is hot, the underwear model is not.

They will still use the butt-ugly model from the first two games, obviously. Think of it as a way to encourage your own creativity in crafting a good looking one.

My feelings for default Femshep are the same as male default Sheploo. I really don't care. If she's a Green Eyed Redhead, then that's cool. She'll always be a Blue Eyed Blonde to me.

To be fair, nobody is going to post the default femshep to the galleries!

I found it really hard to make anything look better than Jane and, while I haven't seen the galleries, I actually don't like quite a few of the femshep looks I've seen in the media.

I'm surprised people are saying they don't like Jane's look. I love her to bits

Jane Shep is my main playthrough btw. Im not against her, I am simply suggesting that unlike the marketed MaleShep Bioware has more scope with her. If you check the maleshep art a good portion of it is still the marketed shep because he has the associated "iconic" name along with him. You dont see default Jane that often, which I consider a good thing as it makes the image of femshep far more diverse.

I am merely suggesting there is potential for her to be remodelled as the media and the fans haven't made default Jane the pure focus of attention. I would be happy if Jane was still there, but I think Bioware are in a unique position where they can remodel her if they wish and it really wouldn't be damaging as she doesnt have a set iconic image.
