Why have the Qunari suddenly got horns and why has the Elven race become Irish?

And Qunari had horns in Origins, too. Sten was a genetic aberration.

As for the elves, only the Dalish elves have Irish accents. To this, I believe, the development team aligned the Dalish with being Celtic, who we're very clan oriented, believed in the Old Gods when the Roman Empire began invading Brittania and fought tooth and nail, quite effectively, to hold on to their own culture. The Celts and the Dalish are quite similar, and I think the accent has something to do with that.

Yup. Qunari did have horns in origins. Aren't those born without them, like Sten, special or something?
Tal Vashoth remove their horns or at least did in origins

“Not all qunari have horns,” says Dragon Age lead writer David Gaider. “Some are born without them, but it has never been considered a defect. Instead the mark is considered special, indicating one who is clearly meant for a special role in their society—as a Ben-Hassrath who enforces religious law or as an envoy to other races. It is also not uncommon for qunari who abandon their beliefs to remove their own horns, for reasons not yet clear.”

The article also says they wanted to create more space between the races, which I suppose the Welsh accents also accomplishes.

Merrill speaks with a taffy accent not an Irish one.

Doesn't anybody know the difference between an Irish accent and a Welsh accent? Most of the Dalish have Welsh accents. And the only reason Sten didn't have horns in Origins is because of helmets. You can't wear a normal helmet if you have giant horns.
Um. Unless we played a different game, they didn't!
Merrill is the only one with a Welsh accent. The rest have Irish. Some sound Northern Irish, but still. Definitely Irish.

Gaider said not all Qunari have horns, and I guess since we'd only seen one Qunari, we'd just seen the exception:

I don't know about you guys. I won't mind them discarding this lore and having DAO Sten return with horns.

It's true that the Qunari from Origins also had hornes? I only remember the mercenaries in Denerim... and those were as Sten.

It makes sense to see the hornless ones in Ferelden. It is easier for them to blend in.Salaya wrote...

Those were Tal-Vashoth, who cut their horns off to represent their rejection of the Qun.

I wouldn't mind Sten with horns, either. In fact I nearly insist. He deserves them.

So when you see the Qunari in DA2, you can see the "evil" in the game. I still dislike the horns, and most of the game.
I didn't see "evil" so much as the bull-headed nature of the Qun.

Thank you
So, basically, since all the "qunari" we see in ferelden are rebels, we dont see any horns out there.
I wonder why those tal-vashoth liked to wear shirts? I suppose that qunari-rebels from free marches aren't as smart as ferelden ones
I appreaciate the effort to give coherency to the new design changes, but I cant help it... I found those reasons very forced.
