I appreaciate the effort to give coherency to the new design changes, but I cant help it... I found those reasons very forced.

If you want a more plausible explanation: BW didn't have different face/body model for Qunari in DAO. Hence no horned Qunari - although they were referenced to in lore. When they revamped many of the races for DA2, they introduced the horned Qunari in-game.

I agree I played Origins 3 three times over and every Qunari that appears in the game from Sten to the mercenaries in various quests are hornless.
However,I prefer them in this form- their size/strength is enough of a distinction for them not to necessitate horns.

I think they made the Qunari had horns so that young kids would be like, "Cooool!". In my opinion it would have been better if they left them as they were.

Horns on the Qunari are not a "design change." The genetic aberration/horn removal was Origins' explanation for why the Qunari you see don't have horns, when they're clearly described in the Codex as having horns.
