No. Quick time events are total filler.

I like this idea. I also wanted to have the choice between paragon and renegade intrupts instead of saying "Do bad things or do nothing".

There's a difference between:

- Interrupts, which add dynamic actions to conversations, thus making them a bit more cinematic and involving for the player

...and:

- Quick-time Events, which replace 'proper' combat gameplay with essentially a mildy-interactive cutscene.

Apart from the fact that many people find them really irritating, it'd probably be viewed as a Very Bad Thing to make a game as immersive and involving as Mass Effect and make it LESS interactive.

I have no problem with QTE's being added into non-combat areas of games, but I detest them being inserted into combat mechanics. If your combat is so uninteresting as to not bother me that I'm watching for a flashing icon rather than being involved in controling and watching the actual gameplay, then I wont be playing your game for long. TW2 is an example. Horrible, horrible implementation of QTE's.

Definately not. It's a pitiful excuse to make cut-scenes "interactive" that just comes off as annoying.

This could be a cool way of doing a fist fight scene with Shephard vs Kai Leng

Take paragon interupt path to disarm and subdue him, maybe even making him a squadmate and take all the Renegade Interupt quick time events to kill him.

Combine this with optional Kinect and we have a winner.

No, no QTE.

I don't want to play "Press X to not die"

I feel they did it right with Paragon/Renegade interrupts because they are optional.

Everyone hates QTEs looks like a troll post to me tbh.

NO.

QTE belongs to Shenmue, who did it right on its own unique style of gameplay and NOWHERE ELSE (maybe God of War since they seems to like them so much...)

Yes... This was a troll pos. What an ass. Some people do like the idea. The qte for kai leng fist fight would be cool. But I can see I'm in the minority. No big deal.

This reminds me of the Krauser knife fight in RE4.  QTE's fit that game well enough.  I don't think they'd work for ME3, though.  The tone is off.  No, interrupts are as close to QTE's as I hope we get.
