okay, I've played DA2 and while I like the removal of the annoying approval meter, it kinnda cut out the RPG content from original DA
but that's not the point now

what I'm wondering is how will the same meter, cept it's Paragon/Renagade, instead of Friendship/Rivalry work?
In DA2, your actions during quests dermined (depending on what characters you had with you), what will you get from certain situations
while some will approve of your actions you'll get Friendship points with them, while those who would not approve of your actions get Rivalry ponits

so how doess this come into ME3? since Friendship and Rivalry clearly aren't same things as Paragon and Renegade; how will the system work?
I mean, maybe depending on your actions, people who are with you will be able to see things your way; kinnda like how you were able to control Garrus' ending in ME1, but I dunno really
what's the deal than?

They confirmed that squad Paragon/Renegade was a bug/unused feature just after that image showed up. (Theres a link in twitter thread somewhere).

I gotta admit would like to see Loyalty/Rivalry in Mass Effect but at least at the moment its not on the cards.

The meters shouldn't be there. Casey said that the screens presented weren't prepared for public display but they were shown so fans could see some skill customization.

Those meters were only present there as a mistake. In the game it's been confirmed by Casey Hudson that they will not be there.

Even if they were there, I would imagine they would have worked much like the ones in the Knights of the Old Republic games did.

I was actually disappointed to know that those were not intended. I had all sorts of thoughts dancing inside my head about the squad reacting to how you react and doing more things indpendantly thus giving them meters as well.
