Hi all,

I'm having some trouble with textures. I am using Nytir's BCK. In these photos, the bottom piece is textured the way I want it (the original way). The bottom piece is from the Oriental set. The top piece is from the Generic set and I need to use some pieces from that for my Oriental work. So I am trying to match the textures by using the same texture for each (editing the textures in paint.net). As you can see it looks fine close up but very different from a distance.

Any ideas?

This is an issue with the UVW mapping. to fix this you will have to open and edit the UVs in a modeling program like Gmax, 3DS max or Blender.

Aw, crap!!!!

I downloaded and installed gmax 1.2 and the latest 3DS MDB Exporter and put the files in the right place. It said the plugin failed to initialize... Woohoo!

I also tried the UV Ripper and it came out black. It may be the bug he mentions on his page.

I can't friggin believe I'm getting sucked into modelling. All over a handful of stupid models. My whole NWN1 project was deep-sixed cause I got side tracked...

@ Hellfire: Thank you for unravelling the mystery for me. I have been trying everything I could with the textures.

Edit: Ok. Got it working. How do I fix the UV mapping?
