I've not done it so that I intentionally don't see them, I've done it from more a collaboration of RP and looking to see the variables.

I have 16 Shepards going into ME3, 8 of them won't be seeing Wrex due to the 16 Sheps being based on using all the potential variables for 4 main choices of ME (Alien/Human lead council, Udina/Anderson Councillor, Rachni Queen Alive/Dead, Wrex Alive/Dead).

For the ME2 squad, each of them has at least died once amongst the 16 playthroughs, with only 2 of the playthroughs coming through with a full complement (1 paragon, 1 renegade). I've also got a playthrough where everyone but an unloyal Zaeed and Kasumi is dead out of the ME2 squad, with Wrex and the Rachni Queen dead as well

I've only done 1 and a half-ish playthroughs of ME2 ( compaired to my getting onto 50-60 plus playthroughs of ME1 ) and I've kept everyone alive to use as my 'canon' Shepherd imports.

I think I'll go back and do a 'kill all non ME1 characters' ( including the Normandy crew ) playthrough at some point though.

My renegade character got most of her team killed, but for my 'canon' Shepard everyone lives. Even the itsy bitsy fishies.

Nah, I play Mass Effect like a story with its highs, lows, and poetic justice. My Paragon Vanguard would never kill people off on purpose, but I occasionally have to struggle to get the armor upgrade for the ship. That is one squadmate who deserves to die.

Tali, Miranda are casualties in my canon play through. I side with Legion and later choose Tali for the vent tech expert (she is one of the best for the job). Tali dies. I side with Jack and later bring Miranda and Jacob to the final battle. Miranda dies and Shepard and JT escape to the Normandy.

I don't worry about missed content. On a second play through of ME3 it's very easy to just import another ME2 save where everyone survives the suicide mission.

I always sent Jacob in the vents to die, Jack is killed by a laser, and Kasumi dies in an explosion in the engine room. Made Zaeed the second fire team leader, he dies.

I do my best to make sure all of my companions survive. I like some better than others but none bother me enough that I want them out of the picture.

I haven't intentionally killed anyone (well, I did choose specific people on Virmire but I have playthroughs with both), it's a bit too easy to let them all survive and I can't see a reason to try killing them yet.  Maybe I will once ME3 is out and I've played through it once but for now I haven't done (though I do have a couple of playthroughs to get done before ME3).

I might try one surviving with just Zaeed and Kasumi (if that's possible, I think it should be) since they're the least likely to come back or have a significant impact in ME3 (although I kind of hope they're both upgraded to full characters in ME3 since I quite like them).

On some playthroughs just for fun. I am interested to see how it will change the gameplay & story. In others I have an entire loyal crew.

I'm going to intentionally kill characters in my next playthrough to have a unique experience with it.

Everyone in my Cannon game is alive, but everytime I played through it a game, it took some will power for me not to kill Jack....

This sums up my canon perfectly.

I have six Shepards. Only my Vanguard will carry over a death and that was Miranda.

People have died on mine, but i take them on another playthrough.

After I beat ME3 I will start a whole new Shep from ME1 and make all the best decisions knowing how it will play out. Then another playthrough to have hand-picked members die just to make things interesting.

1 of my playthroughs has everyone dead except for Morinth and Grunt. I used the "worst possible playthrough" guide on this site as inspiration. It's easy to just skip all the loyalty missions, but I managed to do every one and still get all but 2 people killed.

I don't hate any character enough to kill him. I disliked Jacob, but it wasn't his fault that he wasn't as interesting as the others or that my Femshep talked to him... that way (he was probably confused and/or scared, imo). He was a soldier, and did his job well under my command, why should I kill him?
And even if I hated any character, I'd probably do my best to keep him alive, at least in the Mass Effect universe. They're my crew, my responsability. They're lives are at my hands because they trust me, so even if some of them are annoying as hell, as their commander is my duty to not let them die. But I admit that in DA2, where characters follow you because of their own interests, I really wanted to see Sebastian dead.

I have two games where I killed off people on purpose. One where I killed everyone to see that ending. And another I killed of Miranda and Jacob. No, Cerberus personal on my ship for ME3. And no, I don't consider Joker nor Dr. Chakwas Cerberus, along with Ken and Gabby(Which is why I didn't kill off the crew. I want them back in ME3) Rest need to go for that one Shepard anyway.

I have about 25 completed plays, of which around 20 have everyone survives. I am getting a bit tired of that, so now I am starting to kill characters to see how it changes the next game....Miranda and Jacob just bought it in my last play.

Yes, but not in the sense that I didn't like those squad members that died. I personally tried to kill off party members whom I thought it might be fitting to die on the suicide mission. In my case, that meant Jack, Zaeed, and Thane (who was a personal favorite). It simply felt appropriate.

Did you see to it that any squad members from Mass Effect 2 did not survive the suicide mission or were killed at some point, so you wouldn't have to see them in Mass Effect 3? :bandit:

No way! I made darned sure everyone made it. I'm a hopeless completionist.

I'm a completionist. I make them all survive, every time, no matter how much I dislike them.

I get immersed into these games as if it was reality.

In reality, if I'm leading a team on a suicide mission to save humanity from being entirely abducted, I'm not going to purposely get members of my squad killed no matter how much I dislike them.

Plus, to purposely kill them would be metagaming, and I HATE metagaming in story rich games.

So as much as I don't want to see a couple of people on my squad, they live.

Hmm I deliberately killed a third of my squad in ME2, gave Cerberus the base (despite knowing that it backfires) and let the council die (despite knowing that backfires as well) for my canon playthough (which will be my first ME3 playthrough).

The council and cerberus decisions, I don't play pro-human so they're both 'bad' from a metagaming perspective, but can be justified at the time the decision is made. And as for squaddies, I don't hate any of the ME2 squaddies, I don't enjoy watching them die, but I find the SM a lot more... involving when characters die, it brings a feeling of desperation to it that it otherwise lacks. I'm also worried it will be too easy to get a happy ending in ME3, I want it to be challenging, hence denying myself content/gimping myself for my first runthrough.

My second runthrough I'll do with everyone alive just to see everything and feel good about myself :D.
