 im wondering if i should play the game alone or with people in my party

im trying to get the 1000 darkspawn kills, so what im wondering is when im fighting if someone else in my party kills a darkspawn does that count towards it or does it only count if i kill it myself?

also xp points, if someone kills a monster do we all get xp or just the person who killed the monster?

im trying to decide if i should go solo and leave everyone at camp

For killing 1000 darkspawns, why care? Simply try to kill as much darkspawns as possible, and you will get the Achievement after 3 or 4 playthroughs (I got it on my 3rd playthrough).

For the XP points, if someone on your team kills something, he or she will receive some amount of experience (XP), and the others will receive with less XP (For example, if your character received 50 XP for killing a darkspawn, the others in your party will receive 48 XP)

You can go solo but that will make your game a bit harder, and your team will still level up automatically.

I am pretty sure the game counts any darkspawn killed by your party rather than just the player character. Either way, it'll take a couple playthroughs.

Recruiting others has certain advantages. It adds to the pool of talents and skills to work with, and it also adds some details and quests to the game that won't show up otherwise. If this is your first playthrough I'd go with a team and play solo in a later game. But solo is certainly more difficult, if that is what you are looking for.

The 1000 kills took me a few playthroughs, too.

Experience points apply to all characters, even the ones just sitting in camp (afaik).

I got 1000 kills on my second playthrough after the first I only did half of the game, but I did all DLCs and had some mods that had lots of Darkspawn in. You most probably won't get it first playthrough (don't think there are enough darkspawn in the game) and all party kills contribute. As people have already said EVERYONE gets xp, the killing blow gets +3 xp to everyone else as far as i know.

the reason i was asking is because i had played all playthroughs and had a enormous amount of time in the game and was going for the trophy but it wasnt popping. i eventually had to load a save point at the end and keep fighting spawns of them and then reloading for the kills to count.
