The whole reason I played the series is so my love interests can sit on a beach with Liara. I will be really pissed if that doesn't happen.

And I'm ok with that, I probably wouldn't go that route, if possible, but it should still be an option.

You know I hear, "Oh, you can end Mass Effect 3 many different ways!" And no, we'll probably be able to end it, two or three ways. You just win, you win at a cost, or you lose.

YES. Just imagine. Complete depression and grimness, helplessness, knowledge that everything is going to be over. People saying their last goodbyes, Shepard making a speech to his comrades. That would be amazing.

There has to be an ending where Shepard sacrifices himself.

Precisely. I want an ending like this (though doubt BioWare would give us the option of suicide, however).
