@Funris, there's a great mod called "Ashes of Embers" that removes weapon restrictions for clerics and sorcerers (and in my opinion, those restrictions don't make sense anyway), and will let you play your beserker/cleric with throwing axes.

@AnonymousHero, my use of the term "cheated stats" was meant exactly as you define it; it's a context-sensitive special definition that I thought most gamers were using with each other now to simply mean changing the rules of the game to fit personal preference. I certainly didn't mean to offend anybody, start a flame war, or hijack Funris' thread.

You may be aware of Yeslick, who is a dwarven fighter / cleric from BG1. For role playing reasons many people felt he should be able to use axes. There is a component of SCS that allows this (the SCS mod has separate components, so you only need to install this tweak). Although inspired by Yeslick this allows fighter / clerics more generally to use axes - this is a more specific fix than the changes made by Ashes of Embers.

Of course I remember him. He's the guy who will be flooded if you don't safe him in the second mine.

Even in pen and paper 2nd edition there is the option for clerics to use other weapons as blunt weapons. For example the priest of Tempus could use swords. Outside of Forgotten Realms I don't remember how it was handled.

Since flails are considered blunt weapons (although they have very spiky things on them), I think I will go blunt weapons.

I still have 2 levels till I will dual the pc. When it is a more recent decision I will maybe reconsider if I will use the mod. By the way Grond0 the HD-mod works fine thanks for the downloadlink.
