Was it actually said the Kelly spread the scale itch? Or is it just assumed because of the stripper thing?
Kelly can't spread scale itch.
Hint: Female Humans don't have scales.

I have it on good authority that female humans are actually distantly related to iguanas.

I'd throw in psuedo-religious zealotry for Samara, responsibility avoidance with Thane, kleptomania for Kasumi.jamesp81 wrote...

I hope to have Kelly back. Kelly and Jacob were the only two on the whole ship who were reasonably well adjusted. Everyone else was borderline crazy.
You mean "dark and edgy," right?
No, I mean borderline crazy.
Zaeed: heartless killer
Legion: AI war machine (guess he's not crazy though)
Samara: Epic dysfunctional family issues with daugher being an insane serial killer. Bottles up her emotions too much.
Tali: Issues stem from being unjustly accused of treason, survivor's guilt, and having her father murdered
Mordin: Emotional crisis over the genophage
Garrus: Survivor's guilt, rage over Sidonis
Miranda: existential issues stemming from her origins and major league daddy issues.
Grunt: Existential issues stemming from his origins and feelings of being an outcast.
Thane: Dysfunctional family issues
Jack: Do I even need to go into detail here?
Kasumi: Actually fairly stable. Still, she makes a living stealing other people's stuff, survivor's guilt over her lover.
Shepard: died and was 'resurrected'. Has seen more death and horror than anyone else alive.
I meant exactly what I said. Almost all of these people are broken in some way. It's not really their fault, as they've all been through a lot. I was just pointing out that Kelly and Jacob are about the only ones who have managed to hold everything completely together. Jacob even isn't harmed by finding what his father had done. He was so well grounded in what he believed and what he knew was right that he came through it just fine.
But yeah. The fact that Jacob just needs Shepard as a taxi driver, rather than to make Important Life Decisions for him, really was a welcome change. Who knew the boredome of an emotionally stable, ethically healthy person could be so stark a contrast?
Here's to hoping Kelly gets some character development in ME3. And preferably something other than cotten-candy flirting.

Provide de-facto counseling by allowing Shepard to justify themselves and their decisions in a private setting. It could have been an awesome context to develop Shepard's character and views: "So Shepard, what do you think of destroying the genocide cure?" "It was easy/it was hard because..."

That would have been superb. That would have given her more of a role than just being a human VI.

Ahaha, but she is vurry cool!
And now in welsh:
Dwi'n meddwl bod Kelly yn blasus iawn! Ac mae'n hi'n ddoniol hefyd!
I bet that was the first time you read welsh, eh? What do you think? Impressed?

And then you could have light-flirting spread thin over a number of cases, rather than heavy on a few.
So, to take an example of Jacob's Loyalty Mission:
Kelly: Commander, I heard you... you left Ronald Taylor to the mercies of the hunters. Do you mind telling me why you chose that?
Paragon: What he did to those people... it wasn't my place to stop them. I'd like to think I might have reacted differently, but I couldn't deny it to them.
Neutral: I'd rather not talk about it.
Renegade: What he did was a betrayal of their trust and his responsibility. He deserved to reap what he sowed.
Kelly: I understand. What he did... (shivers) it's frightening to think about. He wasn't even an especially bad man, when the accident happened. It's frightening to think about what could happen to any of us. I mean, I know you wouldn't, but-
(Flirting, Paragon) I'd never let anything happen to you, Kelly.
(Flirting, Renegade) You'd make it hard for me to resist, Ms. Chambers.
Kelly: (Slightly flustered, but happy) I, uh, thank you Commander. Anyways, about those messages-
(Non Flirting) I'd never let my crew come to that.
Kelly: (Professional) We all have faith in you, Commander. About those messages...

The story appears to be well thought out and not merely some stream of consciousness on the part of the author.
It is stories like this that helps pass the time until Mass Effect 3 is finally delivered.

No. People got it from her saying: "Passion is nice wherever you find it and intimacy brings understanding.", then they put two and two together and got Varren.
on-topic: I'm hoping Kelly returns in ME3 as a more official LI.

Still, I do want to see Kelly around more. And developed further. She was the only LI for my renegade Shepard.

Would the Alliance have need of Kelly's skills on the Normandy? Even Shepard can mention that a VI could accomplish most of her tasks and unless she's refined her psychology to a more professional level, there would be argument for a more experienced mental physician.

I really wished they took advantage of that and had optional shrink sessions with Kelly for whatever origin and mentality you had.
I mean, Earthborn would have Shepard talk about the difficulties in working for the Tenth Street Reds.
Colonist Shepard would allow her to get over the ghosts of when Mindoir was raided.
Space Shepard... well, I don't know. That seems to be the most well adjusted, unless it's an extreme military brat situation.
And the whole Lone Survivor, Hero, Butcher scenarios have huge conversation potential all their own!
Coincidentally, how would a renegade Shepard romance Kelly? Most renegade options have you turning her down.

I would like to see Kelly back; if not as a major LI, at least as a bigger NPC. It was nice to have someone on the ship to talk to besides Joker that you weren't also taking on missions. Kind of a Troi vibe if you watched The Next Generation. I could easily see her leaving Cerebus to stay with Shepherd (if you saved her)and being his adjutant or advisor, or what have you. Give her some easter egg interactions; if you romanced her in ME2 or if you have a new LI in ME3 and you're trying to rekindle with her; there could be a lot of fun to be had there.
Heh, speaking of Troi, I can't hear Benezia without hearing Troi. Same actress and all, and... oh gosh, they sound identical.

I had only just recently started watching TNG before I made that connection. Now I cant seperate the two.
I've never had Kelly "feed my fish," but I really do like having her on the Normandy. It's nice having a cheerful person that can see the brightside in something or someone. Beyond that I think the flirty atmosphere is a bit like the relationship between James Bond and Moneypenny.
Can't say anything negative about her really...she's aces

When I first played through ME1, I couldn't help but get this nagging feeling that I heard Benezia's voice somewhere before, but then, when I finally beat it, I realized that it was Marina Certis(?) and it made me happy. Glad to see she's still getting work nowadays.JeffZero wrote..

Like Chakwas said, all of the stuff Shepard went through would normally break a person and I feel like Shepard being playful with Kelly (even if it isn't professional) is the best thing he can do to alleviate some of that stress. So when ME3 drops in stores, Kelly better get ready for another rollercoaster ride in the Shepard theme park. (Where's Quagmire when I need him?)

Sorry for the lengthy post, just had to get that off of my chest.
