First of all, I'd like to thank you for your time to watch this video, which continues my series of editing works using After Effects. You can find the material:

In essence, this video is a conceptual, speculative trailer into Mass Effect 3.

It was supposed to be my contest entry at fempshep.com. Unfortunately, due to constant real life complications and interruptions, I could not meet the deadline.

However, I'm still releasing the material for you in case you're interested.

I really don't know what else to say besides what's in the video's general description. I think it must be because I'm in a really bad mood .

Anyway, in case you haven't signed up at fempshep.com, please do so and cast your vote for one of the other submissions. I'm sure you'll find one that you like .

As usual, I hope you enjoy this material, and I'm open to any constructive feedback you may have.

Thank you. For obvious reasons, I find Liara, and now Miranda, to be very photogenic .

That said, I think she and Jacob were the only excuse I could use in this video to reinforce the fact that Cerberus wants Shepard dead. Once again, this is just speculation since we still know few details about ME3.

Yeah, their silhouette shots on the grid/logo background were very effective. Their betrayal is not how I image my Shep's story to go forward, but I'll be first to admit, this makes for a delicious noir alternative.

Stormy weather, desaturated colors and 'night' shots together with rgb flashes on transition look spectacular too. It's very moody .

Heh! Not much in a way of critisism here, I am afraid!

No prob , all constructive feedback is welcome. Now, that kind of coloring was something I had clear in my mind both for Garrus and Liara.

I just wasn't sure if adding rain for Garrus' scenes would have worked as well . But anyway, I think it did for Liara , since to me it seems she got the "largest" of the landscapes I created for all the characters in the video.

Thank you. That is encouraging. The amount of videos I've released so far is small since they take a lot of time and effort to put together.

And sometimes that backfires on me (like this time).

Be sure to look for Aislinn Trista's videos as well. She's getting better by the minute , and her fan base proves that.

OMG, I had watched you previous vids and this one a hour ago. I have to say that your way of work is a total innovation in ME trailers making. Not only entertaintment; also reflexion and art.

Btw, I am curious, why does Lili from my friend Shadow is the main char in your vid?

The most straightforward answer to that is we did art trade. Surprisingly enough, this is the first time I do such an exchange, and the reason why I didn't do it before was because no one ever asked .

Actually, if you look closely at the credits, the musical score is a re construction of a track from Daikirai called "Wake up".

And why did I redid it instead of using the original track? Well, technical reasons mainly. Listen to the original composition:

If you notice, the overall track is heavily compressed and the piano's volume levels get squashed a bit, blurring out it's sound. Additionally, I also wanted to add orchestral elements to it to fit the video material, so I just took the choice of redoing it when I started up the video editing.

As a side note, I think that could have put more effort on the new piano and violins track, since it is my belief that Daikirai actually used a real piano, and real violins; something that synth instruments will never be able to get right .

Finally, if you're referring to the new images of Miranda, Alenko, Garrus and Liara, those were created by fiddling a bit with the Unreal Engine version of ME2, and some Direct3D hacking in order to create a "green screen" effect, which is commonly used in many film productions.

I'm planning to release a BSN blog article and some source code, but I need some time to put the materials together since it's a bit complicated to do
