It was.  I was excited that it might be Urz at first but the coloration is wrong.  Urz is red and blue, the varren in the video is black and white.

Still, it will be GREAT FUN to have a varren fighting your enemies (however it happens).

I'm not so sold on this actually. All that rolling around doesn't seem like it belongs in a shooter. And seeing Geth do it??? That melee attack looked a bit silly as well.

i agree. Rolling could work in some situations, but being used all the time, it gets a little silly... like saying "awesome" every 5 seconds in E3 .
otherwise, it's graphically impressive. i know i'm going to love ME3 , no matter what bugs, quirks we'll notice. $60 doesn't buy perfection.

Its not supposed to be a one hit kill, its supposed to do a TON of damage and a lot of times BE a one hit kill.

It it was a one hit kill all the time, that's all people would do and it'd break the game for Vanguards such as myself.

How did the melee look silly? I thought it looked amazing, especially considering the extent of our melee in 1 and 2 was elbowing a guy twenty times to death.

-DO A BARREL ROLL!!!
-Reload speeds are too fast (Sleight of Hand there Shepard?)

Why cerberus rolls so much? Do they get the order wrong? Their commander sees Shep and shouts "let's roll!" and all the dudes under command hit the floor :D *facepalm*

Now in fantasy, during melee fighs and all it fits better, but avioding fire by rolling? A little stretched concept. I dont mind it really but I gotta feeling it was implemented to give an illusion of more involving action.

Where did the HUD go? Will there be an option to switch it off ingame? I wonder.

And it does look pretty easy. No punishment at all.

Actually yeah, there is kind of a problem with the rolling. It would be great if they were rolling into cover...but they're just rolling around out in the open. It does look a little ridiculous. They should be rolling behind cover -- then it would be awesome.

Please fix it BW.

I didn't mind it as I saw it at all (keeping in mind the limitations/difficulties of using computer controls).  They have to use some level of automatic on this or it would be insanely difficult to control.  You simply cannot get all the various "realistic" defensive moves down and still have a reasonably playable game so long as we have to use keyboards and or controllers. 

Even if you used a Kinnect or similar it would be difficult to setup a decent command and control system to make it all more realistic.  Note: of course, I've also seen how people play games like this even when they have 6 degree of motion detection in VR goggles: they STILL sit on their asses in one immobile position and simply use whatever controller it is they use (keyboard or handheld gizmo).  I believe I was the ONLY person in the entire gaming room at that time who actually was standing up and using the motion-detection builtin to the goggles, using my head movements to point, look around, aim, etc.  EVERYONE else was sitting like drooling robotons in their seats - might as well have stuck with a flat screen monitor and a computer chair.

I didn't note the reload speed BUT...check THIS out:

Too fast?  Too real.  I've seen others similarly fast.  Takes practice but it's real.  Here it is with an M4 by a US Marine:  2.61 seconds.  That is FAST for an assault rifle.  You can also find other AR reloads in a similar speed range (less than 4 seconds).
