Mass Effect series got some of the best developed characters I ever seen in any game(I think it the best). Every character has a unique personality and they seen to change though out the length of the games. For example, Liara changed a lot from ME1's end to start of ME2 so does Garrus and Tali. Also Miranda seems to change a lot by the end of ME2 specially if you romance her.

She turned from "Oh, hai, wanna mate" into "I will burn you - with my mind!" *To a stranger*
That one surprised me alot, but i think LOTSB gave her a bit of redemption, so i look forward to seeing how she is in ME:3.
