I couldn't do it, not to the lady that rescued me from certain death, healed me and set me on the road althought did saddle me with that untamed shrew of a daughter.

Morrigan then takes off and you don't see her to the end of the game I'll wager. Since I am a mage, it's no sweat, I will choose Wynne over her easily if I needed a healer.  I get the "shes an abomination" part but for that matter so is Wynne.
Semantics aside,  I don't think she will be missed. Barbed tongue harpy that she is.

I didn't kill her either but she gave me her grimoire and I gave it to Morrigan. She's still in my party thus far. I haven't finished my first play through yet but in the back of my mind(because I heard some of the spoilers) I considered it payback for Morrigan sleeping with Alistair.

why would you miss the chance to kill a big dragon...mean you only get 3 chances in the whole game, and of it is no "real" fight

I have no issues with killing crazy old bodysnatchers who butcher poor cuddly innocent templars, no.

THIS
Shall Morri deal with a pissed off dragon, why should I do that for her after screwing with my Ali? Have fun playing, Morri

Although I'm certain Flemmeth had ulterior motives for saving both Alistair and the PC I don't like killing her because it does seem rather ungrateful. And I think it's very likely that Morrigan isn't telling us everything, but Flemmeth isn't either. So it's hard to know what the right thing is to do.

Doesn't she only do that if YOU convince Alistair to agree? I'm pretty sure you can just refuse the ritual, or at least I have read of people here doing that.

I let her live, and I felt so justified when Morrigan ditched me because I wouldn't sleep with her for her little ritual.  Enjoy your life Morrigan, I wish I could be a fly on the wall when you meet your mother again.

I didn't spare her (and boy did I wish I had when the fight came down to it -- but the kill-shot was pretty nice). Yet, I get the bizarre feeling that Flemeth still played Morrigan the fool.

I have to say Flemeth and Morrigan are two of my favorite DA characters, and I'm pretty certain we'll be seeing either one or both of them again

Wait...how do you get Morrigan to sleep with Alistair?

I still think Morrigan IS Flemeth ...

Flemeth's been around how long now?

Hasn't managed that by being stupid, she knows every trick in the book.

Who she conned into playing "Flemeth" will be revealed later no doubt.

And what of that "Witch of the Wilds" that Zevran tells you settled in Antiva?

Another tale I want to explore further right there ...

I tried once then decided it was better to "let her live" for my immediate future :P (I wasn't even level 10 at the time)

Morrigan never suspected anything so far.

I killed her. Why? Cause I felt like seeing what would happen and boy was I glad when she turned into a freakin' Dragon. Good times! I'm pretty ruthless with my character I suppose...heartless in most cases.

I killed her. Mainly cause I wanted to fight the Dragon :) Aside from that I do like Morrigan soo...

as for the Morrigan is Flemeth theory: Blood magic CAN be used to enthrall/control people, so its possible that Flemeth just enthralled some random granny....and illusions as her for the dragon fight? Anyways I'm sure even Morrigan admits that killing Flemeth won't permantly kill her....and I suspect that one way or another we'll see Flemeth come back with the powers of the old god (aka as the lovechild of Morrigan + PC/Alistair)

She rescues you so that Morrigan can go with you and ask for the Archdemon-Baby deal, to me Flemeth is just as evil and unscrupulous than Palpatine, she [Flemeth] knew what was at stake and what was worth "preserving" for the future, her goal just as much as Morrigan learned from her is to survive, she's a practical being, she "saves" you to serve her own purpose and she's even using her own "daughter" (let's assume Morrigan really is so) as a vehicle and intermediate.

I hate Flemeth and I despise Morrigan as well, just listen to what she has to propose before the end, you really need to play as an evil character to even consider agreeing with such a deal, letting her raise an Old God?! Hello?! No freakin' way as long as I am the one playing. So, yeah, I kill Flemeth each time Morrigan gives me the quest and I refuse Morrigan's offer each time I get to that point in each of my Origins.
