Species are defined by wether they can mate. On Earth, two different pine tree types can't mate. I don't think two radically different genetic structures/evolutionary paths would work (except Asari because of the melding thing)
Sooo...how are kids gonna work with alien LIs?

If there are kids, my Shepard will just go to a intergalactic talkshow and prove that the kid ain't his. With Renegade methods, if needed. And then do this.

In game, no thanks. In the realm of fan fiction however, I'd say my Shep would the right thing and adopt one of the scores of orphans bound to emerge after the war, having a LI or not.

Being bi-racial is nothing at all like being half-human-half-whatever. You seriously just need to look at this from a scientific/biological stand point. It not a discussion about whether you think it's right or wrong, or if you really want one or not. It's just impossible. Except for with the asari, of course.
