I'm sure that all of you have now heared of the Commander Shepard Song. About 2 days ago, the creater of the video (mandaloremovies) announced that the song will be in "Various Mass Effect Conventions". This is in quote what he said:

UPDATE EVERYBODY!
miracleofsound has just informed me that Bioware's Marketing Direction, David Silverman, is interested in using this song and video at various Mass Effect conventions. While nothing in-game is confirmed yet, this is still huge! Be sure to go to miracle's channel and congratulate him!

I'm all for it being used in promotional stuff, funny trailers, etc... but not fond of it being put in the game at all... even as someone who likes the song.

It's too out of place - even for a credit-roll song... I want grandiose epic-sweeping music for the credits to carry out Shep's grand finale, not some goofy fan song for cheap laughs.

A song by an obscure Canadian indie band would work well too.

Indeed.. Faunts did an incredible job with that song for ME1 .. loved it more than the end music for ME2 (which was still good). The music by Faunts was like the icing on the cake of ME1, fit perfectly and gave the game that amazing "I just watched an awesome space opera film" vibe.

Intoxicating to listen to.

Nothing is confirmed, David Silverman simply Tweeted saying he'd like to maybe use the song at conventions and stuff and I sent him a high quality file to use.

That's awesome though, the song potentially being involved at conventions and the sort.

And as others have said it does not necessarily need to be in the game, but that would be really cool though if it's an unlockable easter egg or something along those lines in ME3.
