lol this guy's threads crack me up, this isn't nearly as bad as his "it was all a dream" thread though.

Only half of the colonists were taken. They were not the only ones left behind. [sigh]

Are we being serious, or not? If so, why didn't the VS join Shepard when he asked them to? An agent inside, y'know? Makes absolutely no sense...

From everything we know about Indoctrination, it's more damaging to the brain the quicker it's done. Therefore, the VS should be a mindless gibbering moron if that did happen.

You've met Ashely right?

I knew it, Kaidan! You stare at my *** all through ME1, you're a royal idiot in ME2, and now you're working for the Reapers! Why didn't I have the option to be the only human on the squad after Virmire?!

Funny, sounds exactly like what I ran into on Horizon.

^ This except I got the female variety!

But wait! How and W(hy)TF did Ash blast me for my Cerberian contrubutions? She's a fine one to talk about "sleeping with the enemy!"

Wait you mean I'm on the real board where real discourse is made, and not the board where people whine about Bioware not including their crappy fanfiction? Must've taken a wrong turn at Albuquerque.

Remember watching that cutscene in ME2 where the VS and a bunch of colonists get attacked by the Collectors?

I thought the VS was probably going to die or be taken away, but when I touched down on the colony, I discovered that he/she was alive and well!

There is only one reason that the VS survived such an audacious attack with no warning: The Collectors took him/her to the Reapers, and they indoctrinated him/her via an accelerated method of indoctrination, and put them back on the planet, in hopes of allowing a sleeper agent to rove around the galaxy without suspicion.

I think we're going to have a very touch situation to deal with - dealing with an indoctrinated squadmate who can't be cured back to his/her former self.

I've been thinking that something like this would happen all along. I actually asked about this during my stay in a "Ashley Support" thread - saying ""Give me a reason to actually romance / not kill Ash after the Horizon incident". To no avail however; they took me as a giant troll, how mature right?

Either way I think Ash/Kaidan are going to most likely be slaves for the Reapers; but maybe on a more subtle note. Considering they became total douche bags (regardless of your romance with them or how you treated them in ME1) who didn't sound like themselves one bit. Even a loving person would embrace their long lost love instead of what Ash or Kai did to Shepard. Hell even a FRIEND would have been more friendly! Look at Garrus! Did these guys SEE WREX?!!??! Wrex looks like hes about to kiss you all over!!! And hes a clan leader!!!! Damn!!!

But in all seriousness the VS at this point has to be indoctinated or something otherwise the collectors just wasted their time...Unless part of the "Prothean" in them tried to pass on a message subconciously to the VS...meaning...the VS may be a "back up" if Shepard fails....which could mean....that they only got Spectre status via pity sort of....

All good speculation - but Bioware seems to be ****ing up lately; giving more to the "Trenders" or the "Omfg Minority" gamers instead of following story and logic.

I doubt I will have a lot of trouble shooting Ashley in the head.

I thought was the VS trying to give the relay message, but could because of the seeker swarms; however, as pissed at each was, I'll give them that they wanted to give Shep the message in person. The problem is obviously the message given which was damn well received.

I didn't read the apology via email, but I do hope that she's moved on from this. I stll highly doubt that euther if them was "reaped." (Wait, that just went somewhere horrible)

Lilith ran quite aways away from VS before she was bitten/stung along with several others, VS was the only one staying at that spot shooting bugs, Lilith and the VS had wandered out and around some walls into a field/orchard.. Least that's the only way I could explain it to myself why VS didn't get hauled off also, VS is a seriously lucky person (surviving Virmire then bug attack).

Oh geez, not this excrement again!

Maybe people are grasping at straws?  This horse is now just meat and tubes, and people keep Lazarusing it with more outlandish and reaching implications.

How about this?  The VS IS A REAPER!  That's why Ask/Kaidan acted the way they did on Horizon.  The real Ash/Kaidan was taken by the Collectors, and what's left was a terrible doppleganger with a bad mental imprint from the original.  After all, Saren was taken over by Sovereign ("We are Sovereign" he said at the end fight), so there is precedent!

Indoctrination doesn't work that way. Less oh-so-edgy-betrayal-and-death 'plot ideas' please. :)

The idea seems good on the outside and its very plausible but the truth is its slightly cliched and expected. Casey Hudson has said before and so have Dragon Age Origins developers during the development of DAO that Bioware tries not to do what people expect all the time and I think they can come up with better stuff than that. SO many people have suggested it.
