Greetings all, I've been using Windows for 15 years and just got a 17"
MacBook. It works great, but I'm having a problem with games. I
installed Dragon Age 2 and it plays fine, but when I try to close the
game and go to my desktop, it freezes. While playing I press Esc and
then click Exit Game, Exit, Quit, Quit, and at that point the game
should close and my desktop should appear, but instead the screen
freezes at the second Quit. I can move the pointer around with my mouse,
but nothing else has any effect. All I can do is hold the power switch
down for 3 seconds to turn off the power. I assumed that the game caused
the problem, but I just installed Portal and guess what- when I click
Exit the screen freezes exactly the same as Dragon Age. So, the problem
is obviously with my MacBook. Any suggestions?
While I'm here, if I had this problem with Windows I would do
Ctrl/Alt/Delete and shut down the game that way. What is the equivalent
of Ctrl/Alt/Delete on a Mac? I know about Force Quit, but to use that
you have to be on the desktop, and when I'm frozen on that Quit screen, I
can't get to the desktop.
