GOG is total crap, you dont get a valid CD-key with the game, you have to request one, and then it might take them a week if they ever give you one.

Then your experience must be an exception.

All others who have requested on-line codes through GoG received them the same day (or so they posted in some old topics hereabouts).

It's possible that you encountered a holiday season when they were responding to an unusual volume of requests or had other technical difficulties getting them to you.  Blanket statements seldom have any merit.

I recommend you post your complaint on the GoG website to produce any positive effects.  It falls on deaf ears here, I'm afraid.

More foolishness.

If you follow the prescribed process, most people get their keys within 24 hours.  This does not count Sat/Sun and holidays (i.e. Christmas) - GoG is based in Poland I believe and they don't have 24/7 "support".

But you do get your keys in a timely manner, unless you're the kind of person with a high level of self-entitlement and can't/won't follow the simple instructions that is.

Ok, here's my problem. I bought NWN2 Mysteries of Westgate as a download from bioware store. My computer crashed and burned (lol). Now I have all of my CD keys except Mysteries of Westgate. Is there anywhere I can go to get the key?

You should probably ask over in the NWN2 forum - there is a specific area for MoW. There certainly is a way for you to get your key back (or a new one).

I'm going to assume this still hasn't been resolved? Just had this problem myself after my hard drive died, couldn't find my manuals and came looking for the old NWN forums where I'd registered my cd-keys all those years ago. I'm a bit miffed to be honest.

Correct.  Best solution is to just get a new copy from GOG and use that CD key.  Costs you $10 worst case, potentially less if on sale.

If you had requested from Bioware just one time to restore your keys before the shut-down, you'd have an email on a server with them listed.  That's what I did the moment I registered with Bioware (they never blinked)... sort of ran a test case, even though I had them safe in the ini.  Contingency plans work.

I have seen sale prices as low as $5.99 at different game DL sites.  You may find a used copy on ebay even cheaper and without authentication on most servers, even used keys should be good to go.
