Whether you used it or not, Shepard had the ability to crouch (in open space) in ME1.
But for whatever reason, couldn't in ME2. Strangely enough, your squad members could! (Grrrr)

I wonder if the crouch ability will be making a come-back in ME3? Hope so.

I think you can only crouch behind cover - the only reason for crouching (apart from accuracy, but only if you're still...) is for possibly stealth, and you seem to do all that using cover and rolling.

Yeah, pretty much.

Well, It definitely helped in ME1 with the sniper rifle accuracy and steadiness.
It's just kind of strange. Was there ever an explaination as to why it was removed from ME2?

I hope crouch doesn't come back. It always annoyed me when I'd crouch in the heat of battle when I played ME1.

In ME2, they got rid of the gun use skill, so it didn't wave around like you were trying to shoot a fly. The only issue I ever had with the sniper's accuracy in ME2 was when the auto-aim tried to make me shoot my target's invisible friend.

Simply put, crouch was rendered useless and so was removed.

I missed crouch so much in ME2. No matter how many times I play it, I always keep press ctrl and expecting to crouch down. I hope you can crouch in ME3.
