I have beaten the game serveral times, however I cannot start the converstation that teleports you to the murder scene. I need either a way to force start the event or a command to enter that area. I believe the problem occured when I started the layer of the Shadow Broker event and did not ask for the information before She left.

Have you recruited Thane yet?? If you haven't you should be able to look on Liara's computer above the "market" and get the info. I have heard you can edit your save and take out Thane to open the dialog on the computer for both if you already have him. Other than that replay from previous save.
