Forgive me if this has already been talked about. My dream is for Mass Effect 3 to turn out amazingly successful, and then after, Bioware works on a Project that is a Mass Effect Online ONLY multiplayer game. I seen people talking about MMORPG but I don't want somthing like WoW or Star Wars The Old Republic. I just want an online shooter like Gears of War or Call of Duty, only now it's Mass Effect. I would be totally satisfied with that and I think it would be an amazing way to end the franchise.

ME3 is going to have MP I think. The rumor buzz Bioware sidestep paradigm has the very similar feel to when people figured out that Kasumi was going to be a squadmate.

The most prominent rumor is that MP will be a standalone experience outside of the campaign and that it will be like a horde mode ... so Pinnacle Station type thing that you can bring your buddies along with.

If BioWare is making this of their own volition and has fully creative control, then I won't mind.

But alas, if (and that's a big if) there is multi player in ME3 it is probably something forces on BioWare by EA and probably won't be the best multi player experience ever. Usually I wouldn't care, but I fear that if it isn't successful it could endanger future Mass Effect universe projects. Or if it's really successful, they might churn out Black Ops that focuses on multi player and only gives you a short and mediocre single player experience.

As long as the SP isn't compromised.

I know they are different games, but I completed Dead Space 2 in 6hr:45 minutes, that is unacceptable for a SP game, so I'm guessing EA thought people wouldn't complain if they tacked on MP, which was OK for an hour or so, but I haven't touched it since launch week, the MP that is.

So yeah, my only concern is the SP will be compromised, and that would be heart breaking. The resources going into MP could be used for SP.

Hopefully I'm wrong though.

ME3 with MP, if MP is there, is same as Bioware developers wasted they time and money for nothing.
