I'm not sure I understand the glitch. If you talk to Liara before giving her the information about the SB then she tells you whom you need to speak to in order to find Samara and Thane. If you give her the SB information first then Samara and Thane's info can be accessed via Liara's terminal.ThanesSniper wrote...
I just got the LotSB DLC recently now that I don't have classes, so I didn't know about the whole Samara recruitement glitch. And just my luck, I happened to run into it. So I was wondering, if I don't recruit her in ME2, has there been any word on if that will affect my ME3 playthrough? I kind of don't want to take any chances with this, since I want the full effect of the ME3 story and all of its side quests and assignments.
Where does the glitch happen and what does it do?

I talked to Liara and got information on Thane to go recruit him, because he's my favorite character. I then wanted to do the LotSB mission because it was new and all. Now, what should have happened is that I get information on Samara from Liara's computer. However, everytime I attempt to, it just doesn't do anything. So I can't talk to Officer Dara to initiate the mission because I never technically got any information from Liara.

Wow, I've never encountered that and the only thing I can suggest is to load a game save before you gave her the SB info. Other than that I can't really help. Sorry. Maybe try posting the question on the tech help board.ThanesSniper wrote...
