As soon as Bioware introduce the whole romance concept, gaming itself was revolutionized. I remember my first experiences with virtual romances in Baldur's Gate 2, it was fun, cheesy at times, confusing (i romanced Viconia) and added a layer of depth to the game.

Then Bioware made Mass Effect 2, and all sh!t went to hell. Suddenly, it was less about character development and more about SHAGGING DAT SEXI ALIEN!!! Instead of romances adding to the game, it became a detraction. (A BIG ONE) No more do romances explore character personalities, introduce new plot points or dig deeper into the core of the game. It's all about fan-fetish-alien sex action with your favourite bucket wearing tramp.

I'm a fan of Bioware and a big fan of Mass Effect trilogy, so it saddens me to see my game reduced to some sort of Japanese fetish stew; tentacles, rape, triangles, rockets-to-theface, assassins galore. Like the bloody soap opera crap that my mother watches. This problem, I believe, lies in the fact that they're aliens. Bioware has sensualized aliens and made it less about their personalities and more about making fanservice 'interactive'.  I understand this game tries to appeal to sci-fi nerds but come on.

When was sexing another species "cool"?

Don't get me started on the lame sex scenes. bleh. Never again do I want to see  Female shepard's forehead rest against Garrus'. distrubing.

I think that's enough politics and silliness for one thread. Thank you.

End of line.
