Sexing' Aliens a bad idea?

People had severe issues with interracial couples.
And why?
Because they were too different.
Humans as a species have a very flexible ability to love nearly everything. Our capacity to relate to someone, to be drawn to what's exotic (perhaps instinct to increase genetic variability?) and overlook minor physical differences is what allows us to connect beyond a narrowminded viewpoint.
People who choose an alien character for their Shepard do it mainly for emotional reasons, not solely for physical. Besides, propagation's not an issue since there's plenty of other humans to keep the species going.
And I'm still not certain Shepard's able to have kids after being killed.

I'm sorry if you don't like that, but that is how it is in the ME and indeed many sci-fi universes. If you would like to see a universe with what you deem more realistic alien relationships, I reccomend you read Sassinak by Anne McCaffrey. Unlike her freedom's landing books, the generation warriors series actually touches upon alien and human relationships, mainly how it doesn't work out for the protagonist.

You do know that opinions are not actual facts, right? In your opinion they're not human enough for you personally to be attracted to them and you yourself are not able to find other aspects of them such as personality/confidence sexy enough to make up for it in your eyes. That doesn't make your experience universal, nor your argument based on factual evidence, nor you in the majority or otherwise 'correct'. Actual fact: lots of people are attracted to Tali, Garrus and Thane, thus lack of attraction is not an issue. That pretty much destroys your argument.
You do know it's only because his Shep can't knock them up...that's what the whole issue is about.

Let me break this to you guys, she isn't human enough. i can't see her face, thats enough to disqualify herself from the Asarian category. When and if she is revealed then come back to me. Right now, the facts are clear, she looks like a Paris' Hilton's dog all dressed up.
It's called debating dumba** you give a point someone retaliates maybe if you could have a conversation like a adult and have legitimate reasons for supporting your theroy people would take your side but you don't your the guy that just screams his stupid reason louder thinking he is right when he just sounds retarded, useally when everyone disagress with you....your wrong

Don't you raise your fking virtual tone at me. I've been nothing but patient with you guys. And what do I get? 12 pages of redundant crap. If you haven't noticed, I have been single-handily thwarting all points being thrown at my topic. Its you members who have no idea how to debate. Instead of focusing on my point, you pick a side point and try to argue that to death.
Example: alien relationships are NOT PLAUSIBLE!!!!!
You guys: OMGOMGOMGOMG SHE LOOKS HUMAN SORTA!!! IM ON MEDICATION!!!!
So sorry, I'm done with it. you guys can take it and shove it up your arses.
Why aren't alien relationships plausable?
A relationship isn't just a physical one. Also you seem ok with shepard hooking up with Liara who is guess what? an alien. Also you are the one who started the "Human Looking enough" arguement.
They aren't, because humans can't be in a relationship without a PHYSICAL attraction. I know relationships consist of much more than just sex, but its still a large component of a healthy relationship! I know you guys dont want to admit it, but its true. The relationship is not logical, its' fanservice. Plain and simple.
Shepard can hook up with Liara because, hassshaaah he can copulate with her, make babies, and she looks like a blue human! Again, difference is right there.
All romances are Fan service, they do not effect the story and are there for character development.

Ashley/Kaidan/liara romance effected the story. Like in Virime. and the Shadow's Broker. the initial romances were used to build attachment to the characters. the second romances were used to get people off.

Seems that way. I mean, the only reason anyone gets together is to make babies. All those people not interested in having babies are lying. All barren women are automatically filtered out of the dating pool and shunned as pariahs. And of course the fuller, heavier-set women best suited for birthing are prized in our society instead of waifish, willowy types like actresses and models.Golden Owl wrote...

"Taboo" gives several examples from a woman in love with the Berlin Wall to a guy married to a life-size rubber doll. From couples who met in prison to a parapalegic (excuse me if that's misspelled) with an active love life with a normal woman.
All of them odd, but that never halted society. Siamese twins, veterans disfigured from war, people with birth defects, all of them have differences beyond mere skin tone to the point they don't even resemble human. Yet they can still find love.
My point being is that alien romances are nothing special compared to actual relationships carried by unorthodox couples that don't bother other people

Well, it's true. This may be odd, however we usually refer to this type of stuff is pschological studies, and often there is evidence of an unhealthy mental state involved.PrimalEden wrote...

There is nothing "odd" about those. Just people in extraordinary circumstances making their life from what's available to them.PrimalEden wrote...
