i agree with the OP. damn horny nerds influencing the game. if they are going to make cross-species sex available in the game then make it possible with a hanar, the japanese "tentacle rape" creepos will be all over that lol and it will boost sales for sure.

Moral of the story: is it worth it, the alien sex, to lower the quality of the game.

I really fail to see how it lowers the quality of the game.
So long as there is no stupid crossbreeds that break science and there is 'consequences' for pursuing these relationships (ranging from simply turning heads to getting horrible chafing) it's perfectly 'realistic' for these relationships to exist.

I would hope any Shepard/hanar relationship would be completely consensual.

When it comes to tentacles, you never make it known that it was consensual. EVAR.

Fun Fact: The earliest known depiction of tentacle erotica, Dream of a Fisherman's Wife, was consensual.

*sigh*

What is wrong with people and wanting straight out p0rn in these games Image IPB I actually LOVE how the me2 scenes played out. Sure, a bit more steaminess could be worked into them, but i thought they were masterpieces. And seeing how each romance scene was different - it ended up matching the specific couple perfectly imo.

In ME3 - I vote for silhouetted scenes. That way we cant see....and yet SEE. A nice medium ground between the me1 scenes and the me2 "fade to black" transitions that way theres more "action" so to speak Image IPB

i think that the romances work well in making you feel something for the character whatever it is if it's bad or good and it's not unheard of them being bipedal if humans are and habitable enviroments for each alien are similar than the highest species on the food chain would have some similarities they would have to to get there right? and there are aliens who wear mask because they don't have the same land i.e. volus qunari so it's not like every species is human like they just have evolutionary similarities and if they are so smart shouldn't they?

Get over it. It was in the first two games, they aren't taking it out for the last one. Jesus.

She has boobs, hips and walks on two legs. Nothing else about her physiology resembles a human at all. Except that it seems she has some orifice that facilitates sexual intercourse with a human male.

Some people feel that the representation of having sex outside of your own species is freaking disgusting and find this practice unpleasant. That's how. Simple enough.

Do you have anything else that is ridiculously obvious to share while you're at it? How about letting us know that the sky is blue? Some folks here might not be too sure about that.

Shepard can hook up with Liara because, hassshaaah he can copulate with her, make babies, and she looks like a blue human! Again, difference is right there.

You are aware that humans can't make babies with people of the same sex, yet homosexuality and homosexual attraction is fairly common, right?

I will, again, point you to the Pansexual movement, which places a great deal more import on attraction to personality first, and appearance second.

And I will offer you anecdotal evidence just so you know it really can happen.  I met one of my old girlfriends online and developed an emotional attachment to her without ever seeing her face, or even a picture of her.  When we finally met face to face, she was not someone I would have been physically attracted to, but because I was attracted to her personality I quickly came to find her physically appealing.  (and, if fact, altered by general outlook of what was attractive in women)

The above is exactly the case with Tali.  You have no way of knowing what she looks like under her suit, but she has a personality that a lot of people find attractive.  So when you see her outside of her suit, a lot of people are going to be attracted to her even if she does look like a bird woman and they might, otherwise, have been reluctant to approach her.  Actually, Tali does have one more thing going for her - people already know she has a nice physical shape - with those hips - so they aren't going into the thing entirely "sight unseen".

And, sure, three fingers and toes, with differently shaped legs, will be strange ... but may well be strange in the, "I look forward to exploring our physical differences" kind of way ... I know that is how I would feel.  In fact, you keep bringing up phyisical differences as an obstacle, but overall I find the concept very attractive ... it would mean a lot of the sexual experience would be explorative and new - and I find social and/or sexual exploration a very valuable thing.

Ultimately your only real argument is" "I find the idea repulsive."   Which is immediately counterbalanced by the vast majority of people responding who reply: "I do not find the idea repulsive, but attractive and exciting!"

But here is a bone for you:  *Your* Shepard obviously wouldn't find aliens attractive and thus will never have sex with them ... he is a hard line human-sexual ... good for him.

Not quite, my argument is "the relationship is not logical" for 3 reasons. A. No sexual attraction. B. Unable to produce. C. DRASTICALLY different upbringings.

If the personality was so good, why is she an "Old" girlfriend and not current? me thinks, physical appearance influence relationship more than you think Me thinkth the rest of your posts has been answered already.

You keep bringing up 'no sexual attraction' when in-game, that attraction exists, for various characters- both on and off the Normandy. You thinking that alien relations are gross =/= not proof, but your opinion.

You keep bringing up unable to reproduce. Not everyone can, or wants to, reproduce, and at least from the human side (and implied for turians, going on Garrus's statement), sex can also be solely for 'fun'/physical pleasure. Having children is not the byproduct everyone's searching for.

You keep bringing up drastically different upbringings. Humans on earth have drastically different upbringings, and yet they manage to fall in love and have relationships every day. Hell, I'm the product of two drastically different upbringings meeting and getting married. It happens.

In reverse order.  First, she is an ex for three reasons: She lived on the other side of the country and long distance relationships are a nightmare to work out.  She had been sexually abused as a child and was not psychologically capable of a serious, long term relationship. (and while that might have been changed with someone who could be with her, and counseling, I wasn't in a position where I could provide either of those options ... though I did ask her to move in with me.)   Lastly, I wasn't looking for a life long relationship anyway, so even if numbers 1 and 2 had not interfered, number 3 probably would have.  I have my own reasons why I don't believe in long term relationships.

Now, "A" doesn't cut it, because we've established that sexual attraction is really dependant upon the tastes of those involved.  Some people are very much attracted to heavy set women, others are not; some people find midgets and dwarves sexually appealing, others do not; some find blonds attractive, others do not.

"B" holds no weight because many, many relationships are undertaken with no interestest in reproduction.  Hell, the entire "date scene" is based around the idea of having fun without looking to make babies.  Not to mention, homosexuals cannot have babies unless they adopt or use artificial insemination ... which human/alien relationships could do just as easily.

"C" would hold some water if people with drastically different upbringings didn't date or even marry all the time.  People from the US go to Japan, fall in love and get married.  You may not realize it, but Japan's culture is very different from US culture in some very fundamental ways.  As is Middle Eastern culture, but the same thing happens there as well.  With evidence that C is not actually an insurmountable obstacle, this argument also loses credibility.

So, you are wrong.  But, since you've been wrong the entire 15 page thread, I suppose me telling you this won't make it sink in.

Seriously. If you crop out Tali's forearms and shins you'd never think she was anything but a very curvaceous human.

exactly saphra i mean and do they really think that if tali's face is shown in the last one that they are going to make her out to be extremly repulsive? i really think that with the huge fan base she has she is actually going to turn out to be quite the hotty

I think that's true as well. More than that though, we can already see enough of Tali's face to know she isn't some hideous monster. It is very obvious that she has a very human face.
