BS.

The Council took their side during the Morning War. That should have been all the indication the geth needed that they could at least have relations with the rest of the galaxy. Communication. That's all anybody would have needed. Communication would have allowed the geth to dispel much of the fear and ill-will directed toward them nowadays. Why, the galaxy at large might even know the Heretics are heretics instead of thinking THEY ARE ALL GETH!

The geth dug this grave and I'm quite happy to bury them in it.

While singing the new Ceberus anthem, killing ALL NON-HUMANS, and kicking a Varren yes?

Better than the Elcor anthem. I'm not sure that translates into audio.

Meh. You see one christmas tree lightshow, you've seen them all.

Though putting it to 'Carol of the Bells' is good for the holidays.

As soon as Bioware introduce the whole romance concept, gaming itself was revolutionized. I remember my first experiences with virtual romances in Baldur's Gate 2, it was fun, cheesy at times, confusing (i romanced Viconia) and added a layer of depth to the game.

Don't know if you wanted to mean Bioware were the first to put romance concept in games, but it actualy belong to Kojima and his game tokimeki memorial, long before bioware. (yes kojima, the same behind metal gear solid)

The style as evolved and was mix such as in Sakura Wars games (strategic mecha RPG) where your hero need to keep high romance / friendly stat with all her squad mate in order for them to be more effectif during battle.

Bioware didn't revolutionized gaming since it was done already on serval games even before Bioware existance.

Star Trek was into interspecies romance long before Bioware existed. Mass Effect just happens to do it better.

Well, that certainly would explain some of the cave paintings... Bison, birds, hunters, and curvaceous green girls.

I don't agree. Human interest in alien species and interspecies attraction have always been in sci-fi. Farscape had it (a young John with Chiana, all his romances with peacekeepers), Star Wars had it (who doesn't like twi'leks?), Star Trek had it (Captain Kirk... come on), Alien Nation had it, Futurama had it, Dr. Who had it and I'm probably missing a lot of shows.

It's a futuristic story, where alien interaction is common. We cannot know for sure how we would react and I like to think we can break all barriers and love people instead of races/species.

Loving someone does not automatically imply a sexual relationship.

It's one the asaris most insidious infiltration tactics. I believe the Alliance needs to create some legislation which prevents humans from being legally bound to asari offspring (such as being forced to pay child support) and which also ensures that asari children created in unions with humans will not ever be considered citizens of the Alliance or any human colony.

Hooray for irrational racism.

Saphra actually has a good point.  The Asari don't go in for large scale conventional warfare or conquest.  Though they are capable at economic pursuits, they don't have the economic know-how to dominate the way the Volus can.  They dominate and conquer through cultural supremacy.  It's a slow process that takes a long time, but it does work.  Eventually.

I wouldn't enact any of his draconian laws to deal with it, though.  I'd just promote human expansion and increase our general power base, as well as keep a spirit of patriotism alive and well in the Alliance.  That should be sufficient.

Or you could just let the Reapers smoothie them.

Or I let the Reapers conquer them and then enact a scorched Earth (or Thessia in this case) policy on all occupied asari territories.

While I might agree that the Asari go in for cultural domination, I'm not going to leave them to die like this.  JMO, worth what you paid for it :)

The Geth are too united (discounting the Heretics who have probably been mostly taken care of one way or another) , too militarily powerful, and too much of a potential wildcard to really fit that role.
At least for a 19th century-end of WW2 type analogy.

They're reclusive, religious, and mean. LIke I said at the start, the races don't singularly represent any nation aside from humanity clearly being AMERICA!

The others, collectively, represent America's rivals and enemies. They all share traits from various different nations.

You know, it's most likely that the humans in ME are more representative of Canada, seeing as that's where the writers are from.

+1 Yep sez it all right there. ;)

Seriously boning alien chicks has been 1 of the 4 main corners of Scifi.

The others being stange (and cool looking) alien worlds, space battles, and FTL. :alien:

Every since man gazed up at the stars and wondered what was out there, what he was really wondering is if he could make it with a hawt alien babe.  Now, my good man, I ask you: could there possibly be *any* higher calling :D

Er bestiality refers to non-sentient beings, at least as I understand it. Aliens, being sentient beings, would not fall into that classification.

Unless, ofc, you're talking about Kelly then well ...
