In ME3, will your Shepard still rep the Alliance?  Or are you going rogue?  Flying solo.  Becoming the ronin Spectre...  This is really more of a question of how you RP your Shepard, or what you'd like to see happen in ME3, rather than what you think Bioware will do with Shepard.

Personally, I'm done with the Alliance.  They pinned their hopes on Shepard being made a Spectre so that they could advance their position in the galaxy, then let her hang when it was politically expedient to do so.  Shepard saved the Citadel and was proven worthy as a Spectre, then the Alliance decided to take command and ordered her out on piddly little missions to root out geth when, as a Spectre, she should have been the one calling the shots.

Shepard's likeness was used for recruitment purposes for the Alliance after she died, right up until the point where she ceased to be marketable.  They were lightning-quick to label her a traitor when Cerberus leaked to them that she was working for them.

And let's not forget, of course, that there are probably several high-ranking Alliance officials who are working with Cerberus.  How do you think Cerberus got the plans for the Normandy?  Or figured out that the VS was going to be stationed on Virmire?

So the fact that Admiral Hackett sends Shepard on a covert mission that, even if 100% successful, could still result in political fallout with the batarians, but ultimately winds up with Shepard taking the blame for what was effectively an Alliance incursion, and then effectively demands that she turn herself in...  Sorry Hackett.  I was happy to help you out all those times, and thanks for bringing in the fleet against Sovereign, but I sure as hell won't be wearing my 'dress blues' to that farce of a trial.

Not to mention that they took my ship, painted it Alliance blue, and then gave it to the VS...  You'd better believe Ash is getting a lesson on "Who's in charge 'cause she totally called it on the Reaper threat" when I get back on board.

Nope, My Main femshep is still with Cerberus. they didn't blow smoke up her ass to get to the council and they actually cared enough to bring her back to life, but she might just freelance if ALL of Cerberus is "indoctrinated" in ME3. She only helping the Allaince but she's no longer with them, unless ashley can convince her to give them another chance.

My canon Shep's officially gone free-lance. Everything that matters to her is in the Normandy during ME2.

Her attitude: I'll beat the Reapers, give me what we'll need, but don't pretend we're friends. After the Reapers are done, so are we.

My paragon Shep still sides with the Citadel/Council, but she's a little derpy at best.

I hope there are plenty of opprotunities to make it very clear you are 100% Rogue from authority and you won't listen to the Alliance, Cerberus or the Council.

Sheppy is pretty much Alliance for me, if the other option is Cerby. But if the Alliance and Council and them are again being ****s in ME3, I don't see why I wouldn't save the world by myself as long as it's not Cerby. Cerby sucks.

My Shepard is pretty my done with the Council and the Alliance, and forget Cerberus. She'll join in the fight to stop the Reapers, but after that is done she's taking a break. She deserves one after everything she's done for the galaxy.

Uh, they didn't give the Normandy to Ash or Kaidan as far as I'm aware of....

Anyways, yeah, my Shepard is an Alliance soldier through and through.

My canon Shepard was Captain America through and through, all choices ended up with him giving a speech about the "soul: of mankind.

I love how perfect and flawed his views are, I'm sticking Alliance right up until it burns around him. Cerberus and it's resources would've been a smarter choice, but I don't want to be too cozy in bed with TIM when whatever plot twist happens with him. Still looking forward to whatever it is.

Hell no.

My Shepard never really liked the Alliance anyway.

My Shepard is a Specter - he serves the galaxy as a whole, favoring no species over another. Yeah, his "heart" will still be as an Earth-born human - and no place will ever be like home. But he's got a higher calling - and his desires come second.

My Sheploo is full Alliance/Council and slammed the comm in TIM's ears after nuking the CB.

My femShep is pro-Alliance/Council but was fed up with their handsitting and irradiated the CB for Ceberus. It would be interesting to see how Ceberus' apparant betrayal plays out.

I personally think the Cerberus is trying to play all sides to end up on top after the dust settles - and Shepard is an obstacle in their grand scheme and has to be removed. I simply refuse to accept that the entire Cerberus is indoctrinated because it is too convenient and moronic - having Ceberus splintered into pro-Human vs Reaper-indoctrinated sounds more feasible.

Some of my Shepards have reclaimed their Spectre status and others didn't, just to see how much difference that makes in ME3. I assume it doesn't matter much, because TIM will be opponent anyway. ;)

Depends, my Shepard is with whoever will allow him to work to the best of his ability. Doesn't really matter if its Cerberus, the Council, or the Alliance to him. However if it comes down to a choice between the Alliance and Cerberus, the latter would likely be chosen without a second thought. He lost faith in the Alliance after their apparent inaction over disappearing human colonies, and a secretive ruthless pro-human organization fits him perfectly. That said my Shepard isn't anti-alien, we'll just have to see where things stand in ME3 before anything is concrete.

My other Shepard is pretty anti-Cerberus, but still like my more renegade Shep lost faith in the Alliance.  Likely she'll just end up back with the Alliance anyways.

Even my Spacer Shep has become disenfranchised with the political backstabbing of the Alliance and how they used his mother as a political tool. Screw that, Shepard's gonna go find some colony with Ashley and single-handedly populate an entire planet.

My Shepard is a spacer kid and Alliance is part of her family. What would mom think? Too bad we don't know about Shepard's dad like we did with Shep's mom, Hannah. She is still Alliance, she did everything she could to give as much intel on Cerberus as she could while working for a group she really didn't want to be working with.

However, once the Reaper threat is over, Liara and her are going to ride off together and tell both the Council and Alliance, I AM RETIRED!

EDIT:My Shep is still a Spectre.

I'd prefer to stay with Cerberus, but I don't think that will be an option for my Shepard or any Shepard. He's definitely not sticking with the Alliance. He can't. He's a traitor, no way to spin it. Frankly that goes for every Shepard.

Around 20 years ago there was this fun game called "Centurion - Defender of Rome", in it if you propose an alliance to the barberians they would call it a "a'lie'ance". And that's what the Alliance is, a big lie, used Shepard to advance their own goals and abandoned him when he was no longer needed

Sure Cerberus is the same but at least they are honest about it, so for me it's either Cerberus or freelance

My Shep is an idealist. He swore an oath to the Alliance and he swore an oath to the Council. He will protect and defend the peoples of the galaxy in order to uphold those oaths and God help anybody who tries to keep him from fulfilling them.

The Alliance hasn't turned its back on Shepard. The politicians have, yes, but the Alliance as an organization is where my Shepard is planting his flag. He only worked with Cerberus because he had no other choice to protect the colonies. He gleefully told Joker to lose TIM's number after blowing that damn base. Cerberus wants human dominance, and Shepard sees through all of TIM's bull about how humanity should be at the forefront. Galactic civilization needs to stand together as one, not as separate species.

Not to mention, Mom would be pissed if he didn't stand by the Alliance and ignored all the values she raised him with.

That said, once this is over, he'll have nothing against taking the Normandy off into the sunset and wiping his hands of all the politicians who haven't trusted him to this point.

She'd want to be, too bad the Alliance doesn't want her.
Right now the only persons that hold her to the Alliance are Anderson and Hackett. If something happens to either of them, I guess my Shep won't bother anymore.
