My Shepards will work to save all races from the Reaper invasion but they won´t put their entire trust in Alliance, Cerberus or the Council.

The Alliance dragged Shep's name through the mud regarding reapers while simultaneously using him for recruitment and advertising sports drinks.

The Alliance can kindly go to hell.

I'm on a campaign to go through from the beginning with all 6 classes. To try different classes and different choices. My main shep, Vanguard, Will probably work with every one he can. Understanding that his actions had consequences and will answer for them. Totally destroy Cerberus. He's more the honorable warrior sort. (Ned Stark if you will)
My Renegade Soldier.... kill them all. Council, Alliance, whoever got in his way or betrayed him. Same goes for my Fem Adept. Just leave a wake of blood.
Infiltrator will probably side with the Alliance. Fem Engineer probably with the Council. And the Fem Sentinel... probably depending on how Kaiden plays out it can go either way.

My Shepard still considers herself a loyal Alliance marine, even though they weren't all that loyal to her.

She hated working for Cerberus, and refused to even wear the uniform.

I have a Shepard who's pretty much Alliance in name only. He doesn't really consider himself Alliance anymore. He's only Alliance when the Alliance wants him to put on a show.

While my other Shepard isn't. She isn't Cerberus either. More of a mercenary. I kind of hope I'll stay that way in ME3.

I've always angled my Shepards as having no true allegiance to either Cerberus or The Alliance, but an allegiance to the galaxy as a whole. I just hope in ME3 we can play gray, and not have to consign to any particular organization. I like neutral.

No.

The refusal to take the Reaper threat seriously could be their own demise, unless Shepard plays her cards right. ME3 would be a good opportunity for Shepard to go completely rogue, working with neither the Alliance/Council nor Cerberus. Arrival seems to pave the way for the independent third role.

If possible, then yes, going back to the Alliance would be nice. Given the events that's happened, I doubt things will be the same and Shepard would have to keep an eye open.
Still better than Cerberus. At least the Alliance was FAR less sloppy with their casualties.

Ben Shepard - paragon - soldier - loyal to Systems Alliance Navy & Citadel Council (Spectre)

Jeff Shepard - paragade (nice guy, but did things like shove a guy out the window) - vanguard - see above

Chang Shepard - renegade - adept - hates aliens, goes where the power and credits are (I based this guy off the codex entry about an element zero exposure in Singapore.)

Duke Shepard - renegade - soldier - dislikes aliens, loyal to the Alliance

Jane Shepard - paragon - infiltrator - same as Ben and Jeff

Sidenote: Jeff is a veteran of Akuze.  Hates Cerberus as much as Corporal Toombs does.

My Shepard is gonna hate the idea of going back into the alliance. Going pirate sounds much better

My main Shepard isn't Alliance or Cerberus. She's a renegade in the truest sense of the word, and once she's done with the Reaper business, she'll be her own boss. Maybe she'll turn pirate. Maybe Jack will be first mate and handle the executions.

I'm freelancing in ME3. Cerberus is indoctrinated (not that I was ever pro-Cerberus to begin with), the Council never believed me on the Reaper threat and the Alliance stabbed me in the back. The Normandy is MY ship, I'll do what I want.

My Sheps concern is the whole galaxy, all the races... he will be damned glad to finally escape Cerberus, though he does recognize what Cerberus has done (going after the Collectors, etc...), but they are also a completely immoral/self serving organization and cannot be trusted....As for the Alliance, he respects Hackett and Anderson, but knows the Alliance are capable of trying to put the breaks on him, too wrapped up in their own agenda's and politics to be trusted to get on with the job when it needs to be done, would they stay the pace AND can he trust them not to sell him out...or the other races for that matter? He doesn't know...same goes with the Council. Sheps priority is to deal with the Reapers in the best way he can with who he can muster to stand against the Reapers too....once he has achieved this, then he will deal with Cerberus, Alliance and Council...until then, stay the hell out of his way.

I'm willing to give the Alliance another chance, however I will no longer be taking any orders. It's painfully obvious no one in the galaxy was competent enough to stop Saren or the Collectors, never mind them being able to stop the reapers. The strongest, most competent one is the one who should do the job. This person is Shepard so he better not have anyone telling him what to do.

Effectively I'm willing to help the alliance yet my Shepard will basically go rogue in ME3 (just not in Saren's way).

Not to mention that they took my ship, painted it Alliance blue, and then gave it to the VS...  You'd better believe Ash is getting a lesson on "Who's in charge 'cause she totally called it on the Reaper threat" when I get back on board.

I don't see Ash/Kaidan being on board the SR-2 as a sign that it had been handed over to them. Even though I don't really dislike the VS (yet) I feel the same way as you do. The alliance is certainly NOT taking MY ship and giving it to someone who has no chance of stopping the reaper threat by themselves. When Shepard comes aboard he is the one to kindly tell Joker (he's earned that much) where to go. If the VS tries to talk back at Shepard or pretend they're in command, they will be told to remember who's in charge and if they don't like it, they can get off the ship at the nearest stop.

Would the giant Alliance paintjob the Normandy got be a sign that she's been claimed by the Alliance?

Late response but better than never right?

I'm very stubborn when it comes to things like these and so the Alliance may claim possession of the Normandy but I still consider it mine. As such I'll happily reposess it early in ME3 and toss anyone who doesn't agree with this out the nearest airlock. And put up an evil grin while doing so

I think some of you are going to be disappointed when you realise the Normandy is Alliance. With an Alliance crew. Most likely been under the command of the VS, one of which out ranks you. Probably been that way for a while seeing as I doubt they refitted the Normandy in a day and you've probably been in custody pending trial the hole time. And I doubt very much there will be dialogue options to throw people out of the airlock.

Hopefully we'll escape Earth and link up with the 5th fleet, where Hackett will Field promote you or something. Because having my stolen ship, stolen from me, will make me rage!

I'm pretty sure most people on these forums aren't waiting to be put under the command of newbie spectre Ashley/Kaidan who, from the sound of their conversation on horizon in ME2, have been indoctrinated by the council's pacifying words. And this story is about Commander Shepard attempting to save the galaxy, not Demoted Shepard having to listen to chief Williams or LT Alenko. (Yes I know they received a promotion but I'm hoping to play dumb early in ME3 and pretend I don't know yet)

Hmm now that I think of it, anyone up for a Jack Sparrow/Barbossa rivalry fighting over who's captain of the ship?

I'm hoping we can leave the Alliance a wreck of itself, no longer in a shape to be a galactic power. I will do everything in my power to subvert and undermine the Alliance and see that they have the highest possible number of casualties.

Species Traitor.

My Shepard isn't member of the Alliance anymore. After the stuff that happened in ME2 and the beginning of ME3 they have lost his loyalty.
But that doesn't mean he's unwilling to work together with the organisation.

If there is an option to leave Alliance and Cereberus I will gladly fight without any political problems.

But my alternate will definetly rejoin the Alliance because I made him a council kissass.

Cerberus is incompetent. Aside from bringing Shepard back from the dead, they can't seem to get anything right.

It may be theirs when I board, that doesn't mean I let them hold onto it.  The Normandy is my ship and I'll be damned if I'll let someone else boss me around on it after all I've been through.
