I am not sure it matters. I am Alliance for the benefits. They are the only game in town now that Cerberus wants u dead. Figuring out if I want to stay on can come after Earth and the Galaxy are safe.
Is (your) Shepard still Alliance?

Shepard only takes orders from himself. Spectre; regardless of the Council.

I'm planning to take over Cerberus and create my own "Illusive Empire" if you are asking that. All other factions are just pawns.

If I'm given any way out of the Alliance, I'm taking it. The same blind stupidity that made me gleefully cheer the destruction of the Council in ME1 will lead to the death of the Alliance leadership if I'm given any say in the matter, what so ever. However, I fully expect BW to shoehorn me into the Alliance somehow.

To the end.
Didn't betray Cerebus (just) for the lulz, after all.

Vanessa is my Paragon main play through, and she's Alliance to the core now and forever. She'll do the Council's bigging and carry out her duries of a Spectre to the bellding-edge best of her ability, but her people come first in her mind. She does take the long view though. Cerberus needs to die, integration into the galactic community is a must, ect.
Thomas, my Paragade, is ambivilent on the Alliance. He wants huamnity to prosper of course, and feels at least something for Earth, but he's focused more on saving lives than political idealologies. He actually no longer considers himself a citizen of the Alliance (in my mind, he wouldn't even vote anymore) since he became a Spectre, and sees himself more as a citizen of the whole of Citadel Space.

It varies. I have different playthroughs which vary between 100% Cerberus-like, 100% Alliance and 100% Council.
But for my two main Shepards, they, the team and the crew of the SR2, which I hope will include Ken and Gabby and a few others from ME2, are now their own faction. They're fighting for life in the galaxy and for the advancement of humanity in a less ruthless version than Cerberus, but with more drive than the Alliance.

So I didnt see that it said your Shepard. Heres the thing I am a Paragade in reality. So I choose according to.the situation presented. In saying my Shepard is only Alliance because he's either a spacer or earthborn but being that he's a spectre means hes a member of the greater galactic community but my earlier involvement with TIM and Cerberus took aback to his loyalties but my shepard is an Alliance Coucil Spectre Paragade.

It really depends on on how the trail goes if its them jumping down my throat and disagreeing with every thing I've done despite it being right. bugger the alliance ill save earth and go renegade. Also interested to see if characters like your squaddies current and former Anderson your mother if you played spacer and admiral Hackett will be there to defend you.

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead (and after playing ME3).
My Shepard, once a gun ho Alliance Marine who always dreamed of being a solider growing up(spacer background), became a bit disillusioned with the Alliance when he regained consciousness in ME2. But, it is the Alliance politicians and political leadership who betrayed him....not the rank and file, not Anderson or Hackett (real professional soldiers who follow orders). So, in a sense he is still extremely loyal to and still loves the Alliance Navy and ts soldiers, not the Alliance itself (yes, there is as difference). Its like saying I love the Army, etc, but I don't like the government or my C-in-C. He is always a Alliance officer and carries out his duty to the fullest. He did feel uneasy about his Spectre status, and feels very comfortable in Alliance blues. He is very anti-Cerberus.
Also, with all this speculations that I see hear from a year ago, did ME3 really offer any way to RP as a pro-Alliance, pro-Cerberus or rouge/Spectre Shepard???...no?! It was have had soooooo much more replay value than it does currently (with or without the ending and EC). Just another missed opportunity, and ME3 is full of them.
