should people who unlocked the insanity achievement in Me2 receive some kind of bonus or reward for that achievement in ME3?

No. playing insanity is its own reward.

The game wouldn't have been half as fun as it is nor would the play-time value have been so long without Insanity.

Insanity offers one of the best singleplayer gameplay experiences I've had in video games. If you don't like it don't play it. I really can't see how offering more rewards would work without turning the game into a cakewalk.

I meant like a unique weapon set or something like that. not turning on "god mode".

Personally I kinda miss those little bonuses you gained with each achievement back in ME1

So do I, but IIRC Insanity doesn't give you anything in-game in 1 either. (That awesome N7 Gamerpic was enough for me. Posted Image)

Wait.. i got a Gamer picture?

As for the run, No especially for ME2 was way too easy. ((If I can do it, it was way to easy)).

I like the gamerpic you recieve for beating hardcore on ME1(it's what I have set as mine).

I'd love to see something like squadmates automatically getting a passive boost for having loyalty mission achievements in ME3.

How many times though? If evn you knew the in and outs of the entire game, I doubt it'd take at least of all ONE playthrough! (PS: did you see that "One Life Playthrough" thread) Or did you play on ... Casual? :D

And I care about any of this.. how? I didn't do to say how big my e-peen was I did it case it was there and with out having to add in fake rules to make it harder it was fairly easy to stay behind cover and unload saving the nuke for mini boss fights.

Beat it on insanity... Get the revenant claymore and widow!
Turn ME3 into a cakewalk... Like a renegade/ cough-paragon-cough cough....

I don't care as long as said item is balanced... BUT I do want said weapons to return.

I'll never understand people who choose to play on hard difficulties.

Sure, I'd be down for an Insanity bonus. But instead of a bonus for beating ME2's Insanity in ME3, I'd like a bonus AFTER beating ME3 on Insanity for ME3.

And I'm hoping that this time, Insanity won't be staying behind cover for 20 minutes until everything is dead.

For the challange to be frank some time a harder enemy a little bit more fun to take down when you have grown use to one shoting everyone.

I did it one playthrough for the achievement and 1 playthrough on hardcore. I didn't enjoy it all that much, so now I play on normal. suits my real style of fighting better than hiding behind cover for ages like on the colossus fight.
seriously though, why would anyone object to people with the insanity achievement unlocked getting a unique weapon or armor set? "OH NO! PLEASE DON"T REWARD ME FOR TAKING THE HARDER PATH! PLEASE! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

...really?

I beat the game on Insanity with an infiltrator and engineer (Thank God for drone spamming! LOL!!) and I was glad to get the achievement but on all my following playthroughs I usually leave it on normal or veteran difficulty just to keep it more fun and less stressful.

As for a special bonus in ME3, sure, why not? Nothing wrong with getting rewarded for playing on a more challenging mode.

I was joking, but Insanity is easy if you know what you're doing. (such bravado is noted in your parenthetical statement). Yes, cover made it easy, but not everyone is a "go in with with guns blazing of the hardest setting possible" player. Ifthis wasn't the case, then why would ME give you such advice? I didn't say it wouldn't be fun to do though as some like to do things the hard way. To each his or her own. If I offended you with my joke, I apologize.

You are rewarded by the satisfaction and the achievement.  Why do you need anything else?  I honestly can't stand playing the game on normal/veteran because it is so damn easy.  The difficulty levels are there for people to choose the level of difficulty that appeals to them, not to give some in-game reward.

Depends on the class.  Some are a lot easier than others.  I think the general concensus is that either adept or engineer is the hardest with sentinal or infiltrator being the easiest.

I tried it first with my engineer and ended up bumping it down to hardcore.  Then I tried it again as an infiltrator and got the hang of how to play that difficulty.  I replayed my engineer again on insanity and did much better and pulled it off with relative ease though it did take more time (used a LOT of drones!) than with my infiltrator (I think I used cloak to get out of trouble to find better cover more than I used it to get a snipe shot bonus).
