I just reached camp outside of Lothering. This is my first playthrough.
I want to get Wynne in my party right away, so I am considering doing The Circle Tower first,
HOWEVER,
someone told me about entering the Fade to get the Blood mage spec.
unlocked somehow being tied in with Redcliffe and Circle Tower, and
doing the quests in the right order.
I don't remember if it had
something to do with siding with the Mages, or templars, or something to
do with entering the fade to save someone from a demon in Redcliffe.
Could someone please advise me?
ALSO - I am trying to obtain EVERY rare item set, and legendary weapons. Basically everything, and anything rare.
Could someone tell me what things to do, and what NOT to do during these two quests, so that I get all the rare items?
For example, if you get "Far Song" in Redcliffe, doesn't this somehow ruing the ability to get the full Diligence armor set?
Thanks for anyone willing to help me out.
REDCLIFFE first? Or BROKEN CIRCLE? Need help with these 2 questlines.

Dosnt matter you will get the option to go do either reguardless of order, and to get blood mage spec you HAVE to be a Mage yourself and go into Connors fade in red cliff to defeat the demon and make a deal with her in exchange for blood magic.
Its also almost impossible to get everything since alot of items are mutualy exclusive, or are determined by random drop chance.
(For 360, theres mods to fix this on PC)

I already know some items are origin specific, for example the dagger fang can only be obtained if you're a city elf warden. But what do you mean by "mutualy exclusive"??

Some rewards can only be gotten with certain choices that make getting that item impossible if you choose a differant choice. Others lock you in and take away your freedom of choices in the game for certain events. Not allowing you to pick how you want the story to go.

The only examples of what you just mentioned that I know of are: the choice between far song, or full diligence armor set, choice between siding with the mages or templars, choice between siding with the dalish, or werewolves, and that is all.
Will you please tell me of the other situations? Getting information like this is the whole reason I created this topic! Please share them with me through personal message or forum reply!

You can only get the rare auducan shield as a dwarf noble. You can only get the rare dagger Fang as a City Elf and you need to select certain dialog options in your origin and during events in denerim.
You have to choose between Far Song (Best bow in the game) or Full diligence.
You Have to kill the werewolves and side with zathrian to get Griffons Beak.
You have to betray and kill both NPCs in Wardens Keep.
Also a number of rare items appear as rare loot, so you will need to reload over and over again until they drop. Like Fade Wall or Executioners Helm or the Unique Warden Shield from Sophia Dryden.
I really dislike how that takes away your story choices and forces you to make some plot deicisions you dont agree with or dont want for your Warden. Some plot deicisions have greater effect in Awakening and even Dragon Age 2 and most likly 3 as well. Do you really want to pick a option for some peice of gear your going to vendor anyways thats going to close off story and plot later on?
Also you cant transfer everything into Awakening.
So just pick the best items and go with that.

Caesar will sell a tier 7 version of the executioner's helm if you finish the assassin quests and you pick from his extra inventory.
If you were a blood mage during "Broken Circle", towards the end, Wynne would have called you out and you would have had to fight the mages and templars because you were a blood mage. This scenario was removed prior to release, but can be put back in with mods. This would have left you with no mage/templar allies because you would have killed Irving/Gregoir.
I prefer doing Broken Circle before Arl of Redcliffe, because the mages can assist in resolving the demon issue during Arl of Redcliffe, but only if you have already completed Broken Circle and sided with the mages. I also like having earlier access to Wynne and the fade essences.

I really appreciate this guys. If you can think of anymore situations like these where you have to make a certain decision, or dialogue choice in order to secure a certain item, please tell me about them all.
Also last darkness- I am using the infinite gold glitch so I never vendor off anything. I keep everything collected in my chest at wardens keep for bragging rites.

NP
I dont see the point of loot bragging rights.
The harder and rarer paths through the game or unique Warden builds have much more appeal.
Of course thats just my opinion.
Want some serius bragging rights, beat the game solo with no pots as a Shapeshifter/Bloodmage, solo. Also doing a unqiue plot path through the game. Like always supporting mages and demons (Mages Saved, Sided with Werewolves, Kept Anvil intact, and of course parleyed with all the demons for benefits)
