Yes, or the Sirta Foundation. Mainly because they work with genetics and Miranda, ect. but he was described by one of the mercs as the richest guy in the universe so we'd have to see which company is biggest or more spread.
I hope that he appears in ME3 and I get to meet Shepard's father in law.

I was under the impression that Miranda's father was a public figure, which would kind of disqualify Banes from that status. Reconstructive surgery would probably be out of the question because his public persona existed before and after the 'death' of Banes.
Banes would have two options, abandoning any public persona, similar to how Jack Harper became TIM, or assume a low-profile, manufactured persona after receiving significant surgical alterations. There is the possibility of a DNA check uncovering the truth, but it is possible for those records to be altered.
Still, these things largely remove the possibility of Banes being Miranda's father.

And Miranda's dad had to be mixed up with Conatix to aquire the knowledge to bio-engineer her that early. And you can bet my ass that to be mixed up with Conatix was a best way to get mixed up with Cerberus too.

I know why people are having trouble with this but its actuall easy to figure out about Armistan Banes "mystery".
Cerberus (or part of cerberus) could be helping Saren in his mission.
Banes is found dead. Adm Kohaku tells you that cerberus killed his team...His team found banes body on a derelict ship or somthing. Now this supposed "Banes" guy is black mailing the doctor. The doctor is also the one that helps the quarian (Tali who has evidance against Saren) get in contact with a broker. This broker (Fist) just so happends to be working for Saren for some reason....hint hint. It would seem like Saren acted alone but in this case cerberus is trying to kill the ones who reported that banes is dead and also trying to stop Adm Kohaku from pining it on Cerberus. Cerberus then kills Adm Kohaku because he is trying to investigate the matter.
