Anyone heard anything about that? Asking since I got a perfect game expect for the small part where I missed a frigging weapon uppgrade in the first recruit mission I did.

Would hate to do it all over because of that. But ironicly will if it means my Shepard will be better next game.

Considering that the weapon and armor system is being reworked, it's doubtful that they will carry over. I would imagine it's going to be similar to ME2 where you start from a clean slate but get a few bonuses depending on your achievements from the previous games and using an import Shep.

But I recall something about weapons and skills you had was to carry over. Or did they change that later?

It'd be nice if they gave you a special weapon mod as a starting bonus. Would be more useful than getting a small amount of credits or a slight boost in experience points.

Exo, I would be amazed if something that granular were transferred over. Think of how the ME1 - ME2 import was handled - broad strokes.

Yeah recall hearing something about that has well

But think they may just mean things like o the collector ship you pick up such and such a weapon and gain use in it, hope its more then just that.

You're not going to die, so they won't push the reset button. It just means that your Shepard will start at level 1 but ME3 level 1 will be similiar to say ME2 level 15.

As for weapon upgrades and such, I suspect they are being replaced with mods like ME1. I highly doubt you have to fly around the galaxy harvesting for minerals while the Reapers are... well, reaping.

All the weapons (including DLC ones) from ME2 will be in ME3. As for the skills, they'll let you start with your powers if you import.

I'm not so sure what the official stance on that is.

I'm not really to bothered about the skills right now though. But I remember seeing some screenshot from ME3 where you see the "Squad" page of a level 18 Solider Shepard. Which makes me think that perhaps a level 30 ME2 Shepard is not becoming a level 30 ME3 Shepard.

Would make sense if it did though. Considering ME1 was level 60 max. So going 30-60 in ME3 would make perfect sense.

But I can go ahead and assume weapon upgrades won't carry over? Anyone know anything that would confirm it though?

I think you can, because bonuses like that would make import Shepards OP as hell, compared to the start up ones.

I would think since they're scrapping the Normandy upgrade system in favor of the weapon bench, that your upgrades will not carry over. However I think they said your items will, but they may not be where you left them.

Look at it this way, it's better to wait for confirmition that they will carry over than redo the whole game now and later discover there was no point.

If they do carry over, I'd imagine that you'll still be able to acquire any missing upgrades and wont miss out on potential power (well, maybe if it's minor enough) since that could make the game needlessly difficult or needlessly easy depending on what players bring.

Makes sense. Giving me some powers is one thing. Giving me +50% weapon damage and +100% shield and stuffs would be another.

Thanks guys. I was kinda getting a bit paranoid in my head. Also a bit crazy about the idea of having to start over just before I was about to enter the collector base.

Knew I should have checked online while doing the missions. But NO! I'm to careful to miss anything. Didn't actually miss anything my first run though :P

Edit: I must say that it does still bug me a bit. Being the game perfectionist I am. Might replay it sometime durring the 9 month until ME3. Had a few minor dialog options I'd done different too.

Anyways, thanks guys :)

I'm hoping that collector rifle comes back and gets more of it's own schtick. It felt like a souped up Avenger and hence, sat on the weapons rack most of the time because of better options. :/

Unlikey and you will most likely start out as a weakling again or they will greatly increase the level cap and enemy difficulty, I am hoping for the latter.

yes, please let us get some kind of credit for this. I spent hours strip mining every planet in the known galaxy. I DEMAND COMPENSATION!
