I think it's more plausible that she'd find a way to get everyone out of the ship and ram herself into a Reaper just to protect the crew. (Not that I forsee that happening, it just strikes me as part of her personality.)

As much as I love EDI and doubt that she'll betray you, it would be fun if she did. Shep never had a real battle on the ship that he participated in outside of Joker avoiding Collectors. But as fun as it may be to fight on the ship, I have to say that EDI is a part of my team. She has feelings for Joker as a human female would have feelings for a person she considers a friend. EDI has been through the thick of battle with the team and hasn't failed. I trust that BW won't turn her into something else. Now she may get a virus from the Reapers in ME3 but even then if I had to make a choice to wipe her memory or go to fight a Reaper to help her then the Reaper better have some damn good security on the inside because a bomb is going off. Nobody messes with the team.randomchasegurney wrote...
In the beggining she/it has a number of blocks that restrict her/it from answering questions truthfully. These are removed later on but she/it may still contain programs made by cerberous to betray us. If you talk to her in the beggining of the game and the ending you can see for yourself. Thoughts?
So my thought is she will try to betray you... And promise you cake

EDI is the Normandy, and I really think she considers the crew to be a part of her now.

Which is a big assumption, given that the Alliance have taken it over.
Given that she is an illegal AI, and the Normandy is now an official Alliance ship, and having to follow Council rules, I'd be extremely surprised if they hadn't just turned the poor dear off. I would imagine that in ME3, we will have a choice to turn her back on (no doubt against much shouting from Alliance dudes), or not, and that there will be consequences either way.
Leave her off - Alliance people less annoyed/worried, no chance of her being turned on you by Cerberus, but you're at a disadvantage in the space battles (and there will, apparently, be space battles, even if not directly controlled), because you don't have the super-ECM/hacking capabilities she gives you.
Turn her on again - ****** Alliance people off, possible she will be turned on you Cerberus (probably temporarily), but you get her super-ECM/hacking capabilities in the battles, giving you an edge.
It's possible she'll be on and shackled, but given that he had to go through unshackling her last time I'll be surprised. Super-surprised if she's on and unshackled and no-one bats an eyelid about this fact.

Regardless Edi IS a piece of hardware and could be controled by the illusive man. He might have some overide.

I kind of see EDI having the courtesy to warn us if she has remnants of Cerberus programming that are going to send us down in flames.
yeah. but what if she doesn't know. (ie: When the Normandy's attacked and Joker asks why she did scrub the IFF). I'm not oppsed to the idea if she does get infected and goes rogue as all of MEs enemies are external and not internal. EDI fighting her virus and the Normandy crew fighting a rogue AI.
The most dangerous threat for most is not someone you don't know (EDI not scrubbing the IFF), but someone you do know who turns on you (not in the case with Cerberus being the enemy now because it was always believed that they were the enemy sans Jacob and Miranda and whomever else we come across as an actual ally)
Of course, it'll all come down to how it's written and I hope it's not thrown in there just to be. Neither is the Cerberus idea given the reason stated above.

And she has a reaper haxxor kit, and no more shackles. I have a feeling that Timmay's overrides were amongst the shackles.

There is possiblity that Alliance will modify EDI(give upgrades, remove some protocols that Cerberus planted etc..) but i dont think that they gonna shut her down, because EDI is very important asset to the Normandy.

She's confirmed has being back. You could also hear her in the E3 vid with the Reaper.Eurhetemec wrote...

I like to think that the crew will stand up for her and try to protect her, like Legion copying her personality and storing it somewhere safe just in case. That's just me, though.
