 ok lets talk about the human reaper. In my opinion for many of you wondering what was the point in capturing humans to make a human reaper if the reapers were already on their way to the alpha relay either before or after the final mission.  Well the thing is that there in NO proof that the reapers wanted to use the human reaper to activate the citadel. Cause if that was his purporse then there must be another massive reaper fleet still waiting in dark space which is a frightening thought.

Otherwise the collectors were just making the human reaper so that when the reapers finally arrived through the alpha relay they might have done something with it and serve for a specific purpose. what is that? maybe to easily indoctrinate the earth faster without making humans decay since the reapers its made of humans esscence or maybe make the humans frightening and see it as a god or who knows what other even darker purpose it might have had. If you keep the base I say the reaper is still in contact even if heavily damaged. If you destroy it you might have prevented a great danger OR have lost a great opportunity to use in your favor.

I dunno, I just thought that maybe they started building the Reaper first so they wouldn't have to worry about capturing so many humans when it came time to pew pew the Milky Way. Pick off the weak and defenceless, then go after the big guns.

I thought that the Reapers used whatever species/race to build certain Reapers i.e. Reapers are made from their original species or something like that. Had they been successful with this one it would explain that, but I honestly don't know. I think the basic point for them building a human reaper is essentially this. Human/Shepard takes out a Reaper therefore we should build a Reaper to get stronger or for whatever other purpose.

I think they wanted to make sure that humans were compatible with the process, so that they could get their reaping underway as soon as they reached the galaxy and Earth.

I thought the idea was to build a Reaper inside the Milky Way Galaxy to pickup where Sovereign left off and attempt to activate the Citadel relay so that the reapers can take out galactic civilization in one fell swoop.

And when Shepard takes out the Collector Base and the Human Reaper, the other reapers are just like, "OK, F this. We're just gonna walk there."

i dont think it was to do anything more than possibly replace sovereign after his death. Humans are the most universal race and as such, would easily integrate into the Reaper technology, I don't have an answer for this next thought, but the Protheans, they made into Collectors and the Humans they tried to turn into a Reaper
