Anyone have any favourite N7 assignments? I really like the Husk Cave and the first Blue Suns one, the former mission is cool when you have max level biotics.

Got to be the Wrecked Merchant Freighter and the Abandoned Mine for combat. The Blue Suns Base is also pretty fun.

For atmosphere the Estevanico is great, although only when doing it for the first time. Once you know nothing can really go wrong it loses its impact.

For UNC missions, definitely the Styx Theta listenting posts, alpha and theta - fantastic vibe to them. The planet with the shared atmosphere is one of the more cool ideas for an uncharted world.

I enjoyed the 3 part story about the malfunctioning mechs. The last part where you have to shut down the factory is great when you've finally chewed your way past/through dozens upon dozens of LOKI mechs. I also liked the mission where you had to stop the ship taken over by Geth from crashing and you have about 5 minutes to do it.

As for my favourite story missions :- grunt recruitment, tali recruitment, collector ship, LofSB (Dracon Tower, sky car chase and Vasir fight), Kasumi loyalty, legion's loyalty and Arrival. Worst mission? For me I have for some reason always found archangel rather hard. I've played it 3 times now and each time I've made a complete pig's ear of it :(

I think Reaper IFF is one of the best, myself.

I tend to enjoy the missions with less combat more than the others (Samara's LM, Thane's LM, Kasumi's LM, Tali's LM, etc). They mix things up a bit, and I like that.

My favorites tend to be Vanguard playgrounds, like LotSB (especially Azure Hotel landing), Arrival, and Zaeed's mission.

I think a challenge for the smuggled crate mission would be nice. I think on insanity I never saved more than maybe ten crates. I'm not so familiar with the vanguard but from what I've seen he could be able to bend those heavy mechs over and spank them real fast. So try to get all 20 crates ; )

You're all wrong, best mission in all of Mass Effect 2 is without a doubt the N7: Endangered Research Station. It showcases every classes greatest strengths: their physical presence in a situation. It epitomizes that which we hope for, that despite the difficulty we will succeed.

Also, Lair of the Shadow Broker was alright, if you're into that sort of thing.

:P

Due to fear it took me 5 playthroughs and a loyal Garrus and Jack for me to realize the Derilict Reaper is my favorite mission. Before that it was Haestrom. Having Kal assist at the end was so exciting! (mansquee)

Tali's loyalty mission as well as Haestrom are really fun and emotional. Lair of the Shadow Broker has the funniest dialogue. I romanced Liara though. I don't know if that changes the dialogue much or not but the friendly banter between Shepard and Liara is the best.

I need to play LotSB =), Haestrom was great, best recruitment mission, Kasumi was my fav loyalty mission, very awesome liked the Mission Impossible vibe the first half (although I enjoyed Samara's despite no combat, was a nice change of pace). Collector's ship with the music was fun, and derelict Reaper.

Clearly though LotSB seems a clear winner - makes me excited to play it after my Hardcore run.

Arrival played as a level 30 Vanguard. The most fun I've had in combat yet.

As far as the gameplay goes, Thane's recruitment mission wins hands down.  It's got it all, variety of enemies, enemies who flank, excellent pacing, and a couple of mini-bosses.  It took me a few playthroughs to discover just how much I really like that mission.  The Eclipse in general are really fun to fight, since they use multiple different tactics.

The DLCs make it tough to really decide what comes second though.

Yeah that one is very fun as a Vanguard, and after playing it as a Vanguard it is kind of stale for the other classes.

IMO Kasumi's LM on NG+ if you do it very first is the only thing more difficult/engaging than Arrival.

I didn't have so much fun with my vanguard. Charge was too bugged.

I enjoyed it most on my infiltrator, but even there there were bugs. My class passive just stopped working all of a sudden.

But yeah I agree about Kasumi's LM. I'd rate it as one of the most difficult missions early on.

The end to Kasumi's also reminded me of the Hind attack in MGS1. Prob why I really liked it =D

(Charge can be buggy but not THAT much; where it becomes not fun, but that's me =D
