Also: what is with you fans wanting disappointed customers to go away all the time? That's hardly nice. Be more nice.

It would be nice if all the people who hated the games would A) not buy them, andstop complaining about them and C) get off the forums.
Lots of people were fine with DA2... not the best, but certainly not the worst. It's just a video game. It's hard to reconcile an 80% metacritic score with the lolz certainty that Bioware as a company is dead. Why won't you people get a new hobby. Hell, go play Oblivion again... 5th anniversary edition is just around the corner.
Its just a video game. Oh wait, its just a product people spent money on and have all the rights to complain about its short comings and lack of overall quality. So pretty please, with sugar on top, shove your suggestions you-know-where pal.

I don't really want them to go away; I want people to actually treat each other with civility. It's fine not to like something, but to say it is the worst thing ever that isn't fit to lick the scum off of your shoe, while the people who made it eat babies and purposely go to the theater to talk during the show is just trolling behavior. When it stops being about the game and starts being about calling people names, there's something wrong.
Unfortunately, I think that most people who stay around who hate the game do so precisely because they are trolls. The game's been out for almost 4 months now; most people who disliked it have moved on to other games. The haters keep coming back because they get their jollies from hating on the game and seeing the reactions of the people who don't.

I agree whole heartedly about the trolling. It's gotten weird around these forums. An on topic, any critic that gives DA2 a 2.5 out of 10 is not to be trusted. That's some weird emotional response as apposed to actually being critical.

So what about the critics giving 9.4 - 9.5 / 10 or even 10 / 10 like The Escapist ?

Second of all, I don't care if you like or don't like it, what gets annoying is months of complaining about the stupid thing. It's all been said, we've heard all your boring and uninspiring diatribes before. What are you really adding to the discussion at this point? Nothing. DA3 is already in development, and I promise Bioware is aware of the criticisms of their product.
I agree with hooray in that the civility is so far gone as to be nonexistent, but the bigger issue is that a lot of these people think they have some unalienable right to absolutely love every piece of entertainment they ever purchase. False. Sometimes companies make products that don't meet expectations. Most fan-bases will accept that and not be d-bags about it, but for whatever reason here at Bioware, it's like Casey Hudson personally came to their houses and lit a bag of poo on fire.
It's just a game, and the people who are that hung up about it (still... after three months... seriously?) have some majorly distorted perceptions on reality.

For one, you have no one to blame but yourselves for buying a "bad" product. There was a wealth of information out regarding DA2. Development diaries, gameplay videos, hell there was a playable demo out in PLENTY of time to cancel your pre-order. You knew the direction the company was going with DA2, you knew way in advance, and you bought it anyway, so quit crying. If you want to play they almighty consumer card, then be responsible about it and speak with you wallets *gasp.*

Ahh stop bi.....g already. And what are you adding with your constant complaining about the other people complaining about the game. Look at yourself before you start talking and if you don't have anything to say about the topic just stay quiet.

Also pretty emotional?
The game has some faults for sure and a lower score should reflect whether the critic thinks all the changes from DAO to DA2 were worth it, right? But even so a hill of work and ideas were poured into this game and to completely diss it below a 6 seems pretty internet-style nerd ragefreakoutweird. Me, I liked the game enough to play it 3 times. After the latest patch everything I want my Hawke to do, all the dialog I want to uncover, all the side quests I'd like see open, up open up now. So since I enjoy the story and tone and the game runs smoothly, personally I'd give it a 9.

Second, "weird emotional response as opposed to actually being critical", yeah, wow, that's incredible. No, seriously. Look, kiddo, I'm not even going to go into the whole "bribes and stuff" thing, but I consider it far more suspicious when all the big reviewers give out the perfect scores rather than one review site giving a measly 2.5/10 score.
edit: Funny you should mention the Escapist. 10/10 and then their own funny man Yahtzee rips the game to pieces in one of his most straightforward videos. Didn't they tell him this game was perfect?

The game is still out there on the shelves, it's still selling (believe it or not) and that means new people are coming to the forums. Some like the game, some don't. They deserve to have some backup when others tell them to go away or that they're trolling.

'Kiddo'? And then follow it up with a conspiracy theory?

Typical vitriolic, hate-filled rhetoric. The Bioware forums have sucked for the last several months, and posts like yours are why. Stop being an angry (rhymes with bass).
Your response is illogical in any case. I do have something to say about the topic, namely that this much hate is beyond irrational, it's borderline sociopathic. If you are this upset about a game, you need therapy. That's not me questioning your personal mental stability, that's me objectively quantifiying the attachment you are displaying on this subject.
Unless you actually don't care that much... in which case it is just trolling, and after three months of it, congrats, you've dragged the forums into the gutter. I've seen more civility from the PvP boards on VN from Dark Age of Camelot.

So, I'm locking it. Someday, we'll have a thread that hits ten pages without people trying to convince other people that their opinion is wrong and that they should feel bad for holding it.
I dream of that day.
