What race that hasn't been on the squad in ME1 & ME2 would you like to be on the squad in ME3?

Batarian. Possibly vorcha, if done well, but I find that one less likely.

Really the only races available would be batarian, volus, and something else that i'm sure i'm missing. As far as races that can't wield weapons, having a Rachni running around could be fun.

A Volus and an Elcor squadmate with a relationship like the ambassadors in ME1 but reversed (so the Elcor is constantly starting comments with "sarcastically", "derisively" and "with a contempt that all existing descriptive words are insufficient to convey").  They'd never leave my side (it'll be a long slow walk but it'll be worth it).

I don't know about you, but I can see my shepherd flying down on a Harvester (the bug that drops off klixen in grunt's recruitment mission), rallying his troops, then going all Avatar on the Reapers.

This. Really, the Elcor in general are too awesome not to have a squaddie of. And, as people are saying, a Batarian would be interesting.

honestly, i'd rather they focus on existing characters and having a couple good new characters instead of trying to shoehorn in some new races into the squad.

i'd rather have another human or asari or turian that makes sense than a batarian that joins just for the sake of having a token batarian on the team.

Yes please. Aethyta must be in ME3.

Any squad members need to fit on a single, human skeleton. All characters are very close, if not exact, in height. Batarians and Collectors/Protheans are currently the only unused species that fit this model. New species are a likely possibility of course.

I think the minimum number of former squadmates that can be around in ME3 is 4 and that could include Zaeed and Kasumi (being DLC they're probably the least likely to have major roles, though I personally hope they do).  They'd probably need at least some substitutes and/or newcomers.

I don't really think the race of squad members is that important but it can be a factor in explaining their personality and outlook on the galaxy.  Even if a squad member seems like something of a "token" they can still end up being an excellent character.

Female Qunari!... damn wrong game.
Honestly i don't need any new races in my squad. Mabey just Hanar trader in Normandy, because i doubt in Hanar Squadmate.
