A few questions came to my mind with "Lair of the Shadow Broker", mainly how it will affect ME2 saved game towards ME3.

1. Will there be any difference playing it before or after the suicide mission?
2. How does your love interest decision with Liara affect your already occupied one, let's say, Miranda, or Tali. Again, how it will differ when playing it before or after the suicide mission? If after, will Liara become the love interest towards ME3, regardless Miranda etc. occupied before the suicide mission? If before, does romancing Liara in this DLC screw up the devleoping love interest with Miranda etc. ?

getting a little confusing! thanks.

1. No there are no differences.
2. No difference between playing before or after SM. If you don't end your romance with Liara in Lotsb and romance someone else (note that no Me2 LI will comment on your romance with Liara) this won't be resolved until ME3. Meaning you will be importing a Shepard who cheated on Liara with Miranda/Tali and they will confront you about it in ME3.

From what I remember reading most of the DLC's are just assumed to have happened, regardless of if you actually played them or not. Such as Shepard being on trial, I haven't done the Arrival and I'm not planning on getting it. Doesn't mean I'm not going to be on trial for what Shepard did in the Arrival.

#1, Just some extra dialogue if you play it after the SM.
#2, If you have an LI before going through the SM and you do LotSB after, you'll be questioned about it on board the Normandy. Can't quite remember if you can still choose to be with Liara at that point. If you choose to continue the romance with Liara before going to the SM then others on the ship won't really care since Liara doesn't come up in their conversations and that is if you haven't cosumated the romance with them. Also, unless you have unfinshed missions, you will not be able to progress to the romance level.

#3, Just choose who you want. I'm not sure of the backlash in ME3 between all romance parties but it might be safe to say that you can eliminate the confrontation by just picking one.

Not most--only LOTSB and Arrival, for their heavy plot relevance. LOTSB and Arrival will simply be assumed to have happened, whether you've actually done them in your game or not. Other DLC's such as Overlord and Kasumi will depend on whether you played them, since they are self-contained missions that aren't involved in the overarching plot of the trilogy.

In terms of the plot, having the shadow broker on your side gives you a private army! I'm hoping that EA will just give the important DLC's away right before ME3 ships for people who never played them. Honestly there is no excuse not to play LOTSB since it is so kick ass, arrival was meh but I still somewhat enjoyed it....

I'm guessing that it will affect your budding romance with the ME2 LI if you rekindle with Liara.

Scenario: romance Liara in ME1, romance with *insert LI here* in ME2, rekindle with Liara in LotSB
Enter ME3: ME2 LI confronts you "why did you cheat on me with your ex?"

I think LOTSB is worth literally every single penny. Arrival, on the other hand, not exactly. But I still enjoyed it to a degree.
