Does anyone else like turning on music during the comabt parts of missions?
I usually listen to the White stripes, Black Sabbath, queen, Bon Jovi and the Dire Straits.

I do for games that have lack-lustre combat music and sounds. For ME2 I never felt the need to play music over the top of it. Plus I tend to get immersed when playing the game so something like that would just dampen my experience.

However I have seen some really good fan vids that make good use of ME combat and music. Thats as far as I go mind.

Mass Effect isn't the kind of game where I'd sacrifice immersion. I sometimes do it with other games, but not ME.

Come on Dire Straits? Blowing **** up down by waterline with your six blade knife while the sultans of swing are watching? :D

Can't imagine that. I also just do it with other games but I've thought of it. Shepard awesoming (that's what he does) around while listening to Rock the Casbah would be awesome. Maybe I'll give it a try.

Money for nothing is INCREDIBLE for getting pumped up. I used to listen to it before wrestling matches.

I've never been one to listen to music while playing any games. Breaks immersion and is very distracting for those games where I need to be able to listen for approaching npcs.

Anything Clint Mansell is bound to show up with for this game will be enough for me. I love all of his work.

I challenge anyone here to have this playing and maintaining a straight face next time they encounter husks.

Never needed to do it for Mass Effect because the score has always been nothing short of amazing! In other games however I tend to resort to death metal for battle scenes.

oh the horror! Me no entiendo how people can listen this mixed together trash ... while playing ME2 OMG!!:crying:
I don't normally do this  except with few boring games like da2 and poor no-music games like portal2  in which listening trans-electro music is quite fun

no, I always turn the music off in all my games

I'd like bioware to revert to the ME1 system for it tho, where music was always on for the cutscenes regardless of the fact it is off during gameplay

For other games! Mass Effect's scores are just too incredible. I really like the Combat soundtrack. Believe or not I'm actually listening to the music more than trying to survive. I heard the soundtrack by itself and I could literally picture where I was in the game albeit some tracks repeat (by that I mean - I'm hearing Tali's score while doing Leigon's LM or vice-versa)

My favorite tracks are ME2, Normandy Attack, Mordin, Garrus, Grunt, Tali/Legion and Miranda's

TRASH!? Black sabbath has quite possibly produced more amazing songs than any other band aside from Aerosmith!

The music has to match perfectly otherwise I'm taken out of the game. It also distracts from dialogue or cutscenes. However, I do have some Rhapsody of Fire, Immediate Music and Two Steps From Hell all in a nice playlist. And some Equilibrium. Other soundtracks are great as well, such as the Bulletstorm soundtrack and the Starcraft 2 soundtrack. Both of these soundtrack are fantastic. ALSO: Two Steps from Hell (search heart of courage on youtube) has their Invincible album on iTunes. I would recommend this. Immediate Has two albums on the Tunes of i.
