I'm wondering what type of heavy weapons people would, like to see, what you would like from heavy weapons, and what weapons you would like to return.

Personally I would like to see Shep be able to attach his heavy weapon to his turret (if he is Engineer of course) and the turret uses that weapons ability, i.e Collector beam + turret = Collector beam turret.  I think that would make some good uses for  the weapons, plus some sort of minigun with Reaper tech as a weapon.

But please let me know what you want regarding heavy weapons.

I'd love to see some kind of direct-fire high-explosive cannon that wasn't a one-shot "BFG9000" like the whatsitsname. Higher direct damage than the grenade launcher (lower splash damage), near-instant flight time, fires every second or two, but eats more ammo than the GL and RL, and can't fire around cover like them.

It'd need something to prevent it being the "go-to" gun on bosses, probably making it slow Shepard down when it's out (due to gyroscopic stabilizers or something) would be enough.

I'd like to see some variety in Heavy Weapons. I do like them. I don't really have any ideas now, but I would like the ability to NOT carry one. I'm an Assault Engineer. I like running streamlined, Assault Rifle and Heavy Pistol. Maybe make it so that you get ammo boosts for every class of weapon you ditch (obviously makes it more problematic when you do meet something tough or run out of ammo).

Heavy weapon? Matriarch Aethyta throwing off mega krogans with her biotics maybe?
Or portable Thanix Cannon? But I would like to have better use for flame thrower which I never really used because heavy weapon ammo didn´t replenish when going for new missions.

I would like all heavy weapons rebalanced as well as new ones added to the list.

1. Heavy Bolter - use it only from the cover.
2. Mortar - so obvious.
3. Heavy Canon - one shot one kill.

Judging by the E3 demo I'm pretty sure you can choose whether or not to equip them, probably feeding into the new weapon system for classes, and the ammo boost idea makes sensePosted Image
